The story is about a boy named Danny Magnolia. After a misfortunate incident with a family member of his Danny and his sister Marylon become new members to the town of Andover. Once settled in to his Aunt's home Danny begins slipping into a set of reoccuring dreams. As Danny gives up hope on the people in Andover he begins to prefer his dreams and the life he lives through them. Eventually Danny has trouble deciding which life is real.
