A fourteen-year-old boy named Poema lives in Italy with his divorced father. His life is dull going downhill when he meets his older sister from her father's previous marriage. The only catch...she's ten years older!

And thus, the sweetly dressed, joke-cracking Ventrille enters Poema's life to lift his spirits from despair and to save him from ruining his life. She's anything but normal, but Poema starts to learn that what he hates the most may be what saves him from a mundane, routine life.
