Heh, yeah, personally, Yaoi/Yuri isn't my thing, though I really enjoyed Fake. At least its pretty easy to find out online, or even from reading the promo text, if an anime is yaoi/yuri. Whats harder are the things that technically aren't, but the subtext is very strong or the fangirls won't let het shippers exist.
I HATE yaoi/yuri! they can both just go away or stop selling in stores or something because it doesnt feel right having a guy with a guy and a girl with a girl! It makes be cringe!!! so yeah im sure parents will respect you for writing this! I am one of those people that is told an anime is cool finds out it is one of THOSE kind of animes and completely dont want to go anywhere near it again! unlike my sister who can watch shounen-ai (did i spell that correctly?) and not even care! (but she thinks yuri can die) I can just go on and on about this and end up making a chapter book of complaints about this kind of anime! yeah I hate it that much......
Yes, I did kind of neglect Yuri. Maybe next time I redo the text I'll include that. I will include it in my more general guide, more of an Anime 101, where I'm planning to look a much wider variety of subgenres.
Well, Shojobeat is still under 16, isn't it? Its been a while since I picked it up. Had a subscription, but never ended up reading them every month, I'm much more of a collected volume person.
LOL, in that case, copy it into a word document and delete the last part. I keep toying with doing a yaoi-free version of my parents guide. Because I hear that from some teens, that they don't want their parents to know what Yaoi is. I've heard through the grapevine that some kids tell their parents that yaoi stands for "Young attractive outgoing individuals"
lol. That's exactly what I thought when I read this. ^^; But still really good explanations. ^^ Maybe include something for yuri/shoujoai too sing you added yaoi/shounenai.
This would be a great guide for my mom, but then she would know what Yaoi was and my sister and I couldn't have our weird conversations in her precents ^^'

Great job on the explanation. I am certain people will find that helpful.
