Appa the flying bison
Has an arrow on his head
Aang, Sokka and Katara
Often on his back have sat

And during all their travels
Appa carries all the load
When he brings Aang and his friends
Wherever they want to go

Then one cold mid-winter night
Aang comes up to say:
“Appa, yip yip! Come, let’s fly!
Under the dark and starry sky!”

Aang loves his flying bison
Soaring with him through the air
Appa, the flying bison
His friend who flies him anywhere!
