Making Better OCs: Villainous Edition Markus wolfe

Finally, we move onto physical appearance. The looks of a character are tied to itd personality, and this is exaggerated even further in a villain. Although most (good) villains will always something practical and suited to their purposes (hiding knives, deflecting attacks, looking sexy, enhancing magical powers, scaring the buhjeebus out of people, showing off cleavage, or whatever) they love to be extravagant, or at the very least unique, in their wardrobe and hair style. Body type is determined by archetype, lifestyle, and of course, the creator.

Jūō is basically a mountain man/nomad, so let’s make him real buff, and a head taller the average man. A shaggy, untrimmed beard and long hair tied in a manner so that it looks like he’s got a bushy tail coming out of the back of his head. Hair color? I’ll go with a natural brownish black. But he needs a little flare in his outfit, so his leather pants will have a nice blood red belt. No shirt, but a cuirass made of rib bones and two turtle shell shoulder pads. And a cape. A big furry cape that hides most of his body. With a zebra print. His shin guards are made of…..hrm…what’s got a head the size of a shin…..horse skulls. Shin guards made of horse skulls. And the standard ninja sandal. There. All done.

Always be ready to change your villains look. Whether it be a alteration of financial circumstances, a promotion, a seasonal change of wardrobe, an armor upgrade, or a timeskip, you will inevitably get an urge to do so.
