Chapter One

--

He just kept walking, the gentle wind caressing his lithe body. There was nothing left for him to eventually come back to. Thanks to the help of his best friend's mother, he was enrolled in a private, all boy's academy where he could be far away from his problems, but still near the warmth of his home. Home. Sora no longer had one of those and forced himself to accept the reality of his situation. He had nothing left.

A month ago, Sora's life took a wrong turn. A left turn, in actual reference.

Sora was talking to his best friend and secret lover, Roxas, in the back seat of his parent's car. They chatted about everything and small blushes were staining their sun kissed cheeks. It was when Sora's father, Arikusu, turned the wheel of his car to the left after a stop sign. Another car collided with his and in those short seconds, all Sora remembered was Roxas covering him and shouting. Everything else was blank and he had blacked out. When the brunette awoke, Roxas's mother, Sakura, was crying at Sora's bedside. He was confused at first but when she told him what had happened he broke instantly. Everything just crumbled and took his sanity along with it.

His father was dead.

His mother was dead.

And Roxas...

He could not remember the last time he had cried so much.

And now, here he stood at the train station with his belongings in hand. Sakura and her husband Zephyrus were there also, seeing him off. Sakura wrapped her thin arms around Sora and sighed contently. "Good luck, Sora. You have our number so call if you need anything. Zeph and I will be on the first train there to help you out! Do you understand?"

Sora nodded and smiled lightly, "Yeah, I get it." Zephryus nodded also and gave a wide grin.

"I'd probably be on the first jet there! Sakura-chan can take the train," he joked lovingly. Sakura jumped and pulled away from Sora, only to hit Zephryus on his arm gently.

"That's mean, Zeph! To leave your poor, defenseless wife behind...you're so cruel!" She faked a few tears and hugged Sora again, "But Sora would come and pick me up, right?"

The brunette laughed at the comical couple and nodded, "Yeah, I'd come and sweep you off of your feet, Sakura-chan."

The blonde woman jumped up and down happily before she kissed the brunette's cheek lovingly, "Thank you, Sora! Anyway, you had best be on your way. The train should be leaving soon..." And as if on cue, the train's whistle sounded shrilly in the morning wind. Sora and Zephryus covered their ears while Sakura just closed her eyes tightly. She then shrugged it off and gave Sora one last hug before patting his back gently. "Call me as soon as you get there. Our number is programmed into your phone, so be sure to call! If you don't call, then you'll be in for a surprise!"

Sora shook his head at the short female's half-hearted threat. "I'll call as soon as I get there, I promise. And on that note, I really should get going." Sora moved to get on the train but a pair of arms hugged him from behind.

"Please try to call...and don't worry about everything. You don't have to carry your burdens alone. We'll be your parents, all right?" Zephryus whispered. Sora nodded and the elder male let him go.

Sora successfully made it on the train without any more troubles from the couple outside. He sat down and the train started without prior warning. He looked out his window and waved at Sakura and Zephryus for the last time.

Once they were out of view, Sora sighed and sat back in his seat, running a hand through his brown locks. He never thought it would be so hard to leave the two there in the town, but he had to. He had to get out of there as soon as he could. The brunette did not want to think about his past anymore, but everytime he woke up or went to fall asleep, he would always remember the times his parent's tucked him into bed when he was young and the times Roxas stayed over and loved him. Everything added up.

And for the first time since the funeral, Sora cried. He curled up into a ball on his seat and sobbed to himself.

Playgrounds school bells ring again

Rain clouds come to place again

Has no one told you she's not breathing?

Hello

I'm your mind

Giving you someone to talk to

Hello
