You know, as I was making this, I started thinking about how Kaneki truly is in the arms of death, and how that death could be represented as Rize. No, Rize is not technically "Death", but ever since Kaneki's encounter with her, death and sadness tend to follow Kaneki. I mean, think about it - what would life had been like if that event never happened? That one event affected, and continues to affect, the entire series. And that's what I love about this show (or at least Tokyo Ghoul √A).
