"During the contest, the station received at least one phone call from a woman claiming to be a nurse, warning the morning show DJs at KDND that drinking large amounts of water was dangerous. The DJs laughed the concern off, stating that participants had signed waivers releasing the station from any liability."

If they all signed something, how did the radio station still get sued? o.o I don't know much about these things... ^-^; Can somebody explain why? =x

As sorry as I feel for this woman, there's a Darwin award in here somewhere, I just know it. Seriously, just go out and buy the stupid game system. I mean, the mother of several children surely must know that for anyone holding one's pee is some kind of health risk.
With a name like 'Jennifer Strange', I'd say that this is a pretty Strange case to follow.
If the nurse's advice is followed, I can say with 99.7% certainty that no one will die over a Wii contest. And the advice is pretty basic, actually, for me. Toxic materials in the pent-up wee (for lack of a better phrase XP) will be released back into the blood, or something like that, and cause the blood to be more toxic. That, or too much stress over NOT peeing and holding them gross liquids in made her die.
Stupid radio station staffs, and they deserved the $16M plus fine......

Why is everyone getting so pissed off over this? Seriously, I hope these guys are just taking the piss. If you drink that much water, you know urine a lot of trouble.
Thank you, I'll be here all week! Tip your waitress!
