He has already spoken out against Nintendo in the past (see previous comment). As for Microsoft...hmmm...nah, he'll definitely speak out against it as well. But who knows?
I can see what Chavez is talking about. He may have unwittingly spared his people the evils of "Love Plus". And of course, where there are games there are used-games, which means GameStops. Fictitious studies show that the ruin a GameStop can bring to a community is only second to that of a liquor store or Walmart.
Individualism? As in the belief that a single human being is allowed to work towards their hopes and dreams without outside interference?
Nintendo really crossed the line there. How dare they reveal that there are philosophies out there that aren't forced upon you by your government. How dare they suggest that you are worth something as a person instead of a worker ant.
Nope, as seen in this excerpt from the article linked in this news nugget:
In expanding on his dislike of western toys and games -- he already slammed Nintendo for promoting "selfishness, individualism and violence," Chavez Sunday took on the world's top selling game console, Sony's PlayStation.

With all due fairness to President Chavez, this is what he had reportedly said, according to the article:
"Those games they call 'PlayStation' are poison. Some games teach you to kill. They once put my face on a game, 'you've got to find Chavez to kill him.'"
I'm sorry if the nugget caused a slight confusion.

Because a guy who came to power after a failed coup attempt is definitely the kind of guy I want preaching to me about ethics and anti-violence.
