The interesting part is going to be how many products are going to have this new technology, and is the probably price increase compared to similar products going to be worth it to the consumer? And will the items with this installed be of the type where something like this would make sense?
this idea made me laughXD but seriously it isnt that hard to find the + and - on a battery. but whatever if it makes life easier then its fine with me XD
Okay, I've never had trouble with finding the + and - sides of a battery and putting it in right. Just how dumb does Microsoft think the general public is?
Okay, it sounds silly, but after trying to figure out which way the batteries are supposed to go in your flashlight when you need a flashlight to see the marks inside the handle... yeah, it doesn't sound quite so silly anymore.
For me, it isn't so much of a problem as it is a nuisance...especially when a product is a little difficult to tell what's what. Feeling around used to work, nowadays it's a bit toss-of-the-coin. (I'm looking at you, laser mouse...)

Exactly. For the most part it's not necessary but there will be some instances where it will be very handy. The idea still made me laugh though.

@DemonKingAtticus:
They recycled it in the pilot for Buzz Lightyear of Star Command. With Zurg's evil ray.
It's so hard to find competent minions these days.
