Aww man..! DX And I subscribed back in January! This is just sad... I wonder if they'll come back once the economy starts booming again...<starts thinking about that> The thing that is confusing me is... do only subscribers get a special August issue or will the Augsut issue be on the newstands announcing this sad news to those of us who subscribed and wound up only getting one issue in the mail?
...
Yeah, that's what happened to me. :c
Don't say that! You'll curse it!
(Just like I did when I said that Adam Lambert was going to win American Idol.) T^T I loved Adam.
I think it's getting more popular. Just 'cause the economy's in the toilet right now doesn't meant that anime's going away. Lots of buisnesses are closing, right?
i posted everything i found from shojobeat.com
people who subscribe are getting a free copy of the Aug issue of Jump
and will be able to learn of their options
the post is located in my random ramblings world

i mean i dint read it either.... but i mean... like..... to see something like that just... be let go really just sucks.....
poor shojo....... but then again, all the girls i know dont really talk about shojo crap... they all seme to like the shonen boys more.... cant blame us them either XD
*sigh* i guess thats it.... idk it just makes me feel so sad for some reson
Let's blame all this on him...^__^ It makes me feel all warm an' fuzzy inside.
Stupid economy. Did anybody notice that the Naruto volumes are cheaper? And Otaku USA is cheaper too. They don't even have DVDs anymore.
I wonder if Shonen Jump will go out...I'd rather read it in volumes. The big pages are harder... o___O
Anyways. I think that Shonen Jump will stay in buisness because I think that there's so many people who like the titles in there *coughNarutocough* that it can't.
:/
Oh, well. My opinion.

NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DAMNIT!! THE ECONOMY SUCKS!!! FIRST ANIME INSIDER, NOW SHOJO BEAT. WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY GONNA DO NOW!! CUT MANGA FROM AMERICA............if they go there i'm gonna die
Well, the only thing I know is that I'm a girl that reads predominantly shounen titles and am therefore apathetic to all this for the most part. *shrugs*
Now what they need is to test out with the unused presses is a seinin magazine. I'd buy that.
Aw man, I love reading these magazines at my local library; I like 'Honey Hunt' and 'Haruka : Through the Stream of Time' most. Any possibility that they'll continue it in an online form so readers can still follow these series?
WTF?!?!
i have been reading since Oct 2006 issue
WTF?!?!
~gazes over to other SB issues~~they are now a tresure~
n-nNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WHERE AM I SUPPOSED TO GET TO READ VAMPIRE KNIGHT, HONEY AND CLOVER,
AND HARUKA:BEYOND THE STREAM OF TIME?!
those were my faves i didn't mind the pink and blue ink
i loved the jrocker interviews: An Cafe was one
even j-pop stars: gackt was one
ish now and sad
well then all the shojo titles better keep coming out as manga volumes
I've read a couple of the magazines that I've borrowed from the library, and I thought it was a decent magazine even though I wasn't exacally intrested in some of the article (fasion). Too bad it's going to end.
A tragedy for female comic book/manga readers in North America I say. Hopefully, they'll still have a lot of Manga titles to choose from to read in the future.
EHMAGAWD NOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
i almost cried right now. but im in denial, so much fun~
this is evil.....literally the BEST magazine ever.....
and its GONE!!!!!!
I buy volumes more than I buy the magazine. I hate the pink and blue ink anyways, it hurts my eyes. I hope they will still be selling the volumes, though.
Well, I mean, not alot of people (generally) read shojo. Casual anime fans don't typically read/watch those. It's unfortunate, but at least, they'll still publish the individual comics.
nnnnnnnnnnnoooooooooooooooo!!!!!!! that magazine was my one source for all things shojo and kawaii. *sniff* how am i supposed find out about cute shojo manga now :(
I'm surprised that it lasted as long as it did, to tell you the truth. From the moment I saw it in all the pink-flowery-girlishness, I knew it was doomed.
I'm assuming they'll keep the Shoujo Beat title though, as you can't exactly print Ouran under a Shounen Jump insignia (Ouran being the only series out of the listed titles I actually read, for the comedy of all things).
I honestly can't say I'm surprised. When the magazine first launched, I didn't think it would last very long. It did last my entire high school career, though. Still a sad day for the US manga market.
Well at least Ouran was made into anime before this happened. Love that show! That being said, not much of a Shojo fan though it is a big blow in the world of anime. However, if Shonen Jump goes down, all hell breaks loose.
AHHHH!!!! Noooooo!!!!! That was the highlight of each month for me!!!! The magazine always had such cool stuff. It was literally too cool for school! And I was getting so into the manga they were serializing...They will be sorely missed.
