From the commercial I've seen recently, it's a dub. And believe me, having a freshly-aired anime dubbed and broadcasted that fast is not something you see too often in Philippine TV.
Then again, ever since it rebranded itself from ABC-5 to TV5, the network has already established a record in bringing some of the latest anime series aired in Japan. Some notable examples aside from "Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood" were "Code Geass", "Special A", and most recently "Toradora" (which fills in FMA's time slot for Mondays to Thursdays) & "Code Geass R2" . Of course, FMA: Brotherhood is simply shocking since it was only a month after the Japanese broadcast began, and probably the fastest ever in the anime scene in local TV.
Only question is how it can compete with the giant networks, especially since it's a primetime news timeslot for the two giant networks.

I know! He barely made it through the movie, but it just made me wuv him even more. <3 It almost kinda fit though, considering Al's age. :/ In the movie, I mean.
But, like, OMIGOSH, if they don't use Aaron then I think that I would die.
>//////////< I luffles Aru-kun just too much for that to happen (and he's like tied with Edward and maybe Hughes).....
Wow, and I was just watching the raw anime of it when I was visiting in the Philippines a month ago. It's nice to know that anime is immediately going into different countries and languages sooner now ^^
Me too, unfortunately, Aaron's gotten considerably...older. I don't think he can do the voice...*cries* Alphonse is my favorite character, so I feel your pain..but hopefully they get somone as good or he pulls through...
I'm going to be greedy and sat that I want it to be better (if possible).
But I worry about Aaron. Like seriously, what happens if he can't do Al, and they have to get somebody else? O___O I don't want Pokemon to happen all over again.
AND I worry, because what about the Japanese version? They only had Edward and Alphonse. (Although they are the only two I would have WANTED to be the same. I didn't watch it in Japanese, so I don't remember what they all sounded like. :/ )
*knocks on wood*
I luff Aaron too much to not have him back. T^T
whooo XD yes 'sana sa tagalog and dub nila, gawin naman sana nilang maganda para hindi patayin and fma, basta okay lang ako pagmaganda kahit wla sa pinas ;3' i hope itll turn great if its dub nice to know itll be air in animax, hope they post that dub on youtube perhaps to c the results bad/good ¬ ¬
Some may not find this newsworthy, especially since it has already aired in other countries. But the difference is that it's usually aired in cable channels, such as Animax Asia.
Also, TV5 is a local free TV network that any TV in the Philippines can acquire with its antennas. Simple as that. Unlike TVB J2 in Hongkong, which began airing the FMA: Brotherhood series a few weeks ago, the network does not need a TV with special features. A television with an antenna can already work for TV5.
I might be overreacting already to this news, but I can't help but be freaking shocked. For it to acquire the rights to show the series very quickly and show it immediately just like that is just unbelievable.
Besides, theOtaku has its share of Filipino members. And I think it's okay to post this news every once in a while, especially if that news is really something big and one that you can't just dismiss right away.

Why do I feel like I shouldn't be surprised at the magic that is Filipino television...? ^^'
Well, at least I know Funi has the rights for it Stateside, if I remember correctly, so it shouldn't be too long for North America anyways.
Be true, be you and of course, be otaku.
