Gosh, if they made an anime based on our legal system and it's procedures, it'd turn into a full-blown, 2 season series. Next week: the Waterboarding Arc!
Wow, Phoenix Wright wasn't kidding! In the last game, Apollo Justice (and the last case for that matter) you were supposed to convince the jury right or wrong.
Personally, I see both pros and cons to the idea. The pros are basically that the trial can be held out to prove people innocent or guilty (a prime example is in the old sitcom "All in the Family" where the wife, Edith, was a jurist and practically held up everyone from making their decsion because it has to be unanimous, and she was the only one that thought the guy was innocent and it ended up being true). And, there's another check on teh judge, who can't just try to be the supreme ruler. The cons, however, mean that people that have no idea about law are making descions they may not nessacerily know about. AND there's always emotions involved where people may be swayed just because they are afraid of letting a "killer" loose, or because the media influences them.

SO THAT'S WHY THERE WERE NO JURIES IN PHOENIX WRIGHT. *hasn't played Apollo Justice* I ALWAYS THOUGHT THAT WAS KINDA WEIRD.

Now I'm wondering if this change was in any way brought to fruition by Apollo Justice, since this is exactly what happened in the game.
Though if this means Hobo!Phoenix Wright indeed exists, I must meet him.

@cougarsama:
I wouldn't watch that arc.
Hmm. Well the Phoenix Wright games now make a little sense.
