I agree. They shouldcopy Shadow the Hedgehog. I can see all the destruction now.
It'd be even cooler is they made Master Chief AND Shadow (maybe as a human and not a hedgehog). That would be the perfect addition to any 2030 army.
...
But then, if your an innocent bystander in the middle of a battlefield you're so screwed... Maybe the military should rethink this looking back on that article. 8( Not the brightest idea

I'm sorry...did I make this idea seem kinda, you know, even MORE dumb? because you gotta admit: all this puppy needed was some white spray-paint! *nervous laughter* maybe I shouldnt've said that...

I hear ya!!! That'd be a nice feature right thar! (: Either that or the Ghosts. Plus the whole "auto-crash" if enemies get a hold of it is trick'd, man! XDDD lol fakeout!

Wow who would have ever thought. That would be cool looking though, our army with helmets and suits or armor like that. No war for me though I don't like that thought of getting shot at.
So, in other words, the military ran out of ideas and they copied a video game.
Edit: If they really wanna reek havoc, they should copy Shadow the Hedgehog. That would be a fantastic way for them to instill fear and lack of hope throughout the world.

That does it. That pretty much ensures that I am NOT signing up for the military, and will head to Canada if drafted. I will NOT wear that. Ever. Especially when its based off Halo.

I had heard a while ago about the military developing powered exoskeletons for soldiers, but based on the images, this seems a lot closers to being fully functional.
Don't get me wrong, I hate violence even though I have a morbid fascination with weapons and military technology. But from a purely technical standpoint, the technologies that would go into these systems is amazing. Besides, throughout history many great technical advances were the result of military technology. Anyone remember where microwaves came from? While I still dislike war, killing, and other such things I do think it's a good thing the military r&d guys are working on things like this rather than just making bigger bombs.
One other thing I did find interesting was that in the article they talked about "soldiers enhanced with prosthetics". Apparently, in addition to video games and Star Wars, these guys have also watched Ghost in the Shell. :)
As much as I can't stand conflict, the constant (albeit unoriginal)inovations of our military gets me pumped!!! >:o Energy swords? Plasma grenades? It's thrilling, but unsettling at the same time. Cool, but sheer apocolyptic in concept. I just wish all battles were as simple as Capture the Flag...

I agree with lazyweird! I don't like war, but that could seriously waver some people. I'll join a war after they make respawns a reality somehow. :)

that's pretty cool. And think about this- if the whole 'super soldier' thing doesn't work out, you could make one bad-ass clone trooper cosplay!

It's like... Tron, a Storm trooper, Cobra Commander and Master Chief mated and had a prototype baby.
