I hope this is true. I love miyazaki and this movie but it really seemed like it was just getting started when it ended. Same with Castle in the Sky. Loves to all Miyazaki movies!!!! hugs!!!
Castle of Cagliostro? Yeah, it's a pretty good movie. Lupin and co. are a bit more pleasant than they typically would be, but the story and art more than make up for it. It's also available for direct download to your computer if you or someone you know happens to have a Netflix account.
No, my Books on Film teacher actually didn't know that, and she "claimed" to be this big movie know-it-all. When she read my final about Hiyao, that being one of them. It was also called to her attention that he had a son.*CAUTION: angry yelling ensues* Some people need to realize that they DON'T really have all of the answers!!!!!!1!!!!1111! *thank you*
I personally would like to see a sequel, I mean, all of his movies have been done splendidly, I think he should go for it.
And on that note, am I the only one that DIDN'T realize that he had made his own movie for "Lupin III"? He apparently did, and it one of Ghibili's first movies. I had no idea until my Japanese teacher showed our class! lol
I would definately see this one if it is true. Miyazaki just can't quit, can he? It's always, "this is the last one." but no, he keeps changing his mind. lol. And I'm glad for that. His movies are just so fantastic.
And I loved Porco Rosso, though it has been a while, so this is some exciting news. :)
Wow. I always seem to get the short end of the stick when it comes to news. No one seems to care about my stories. I thought this would be big news. Oh well. Que sera sera.

More like actually finishing the story that the original Porco Rosso half-resolved and then left off just before revealing the twists we really cared about.
I liked Porco, but I thought the ending seemed like a bit of a cop-out. Hopefully a sequel will serve to tie up some loose ends.

Eek. I didn't much care for Porco Rosso. Maybe the continuation will sit better with me. Here's to hoping.

The Cat Returns wasn't made by Miyazaki. He just produced it.
Good movie, though. Really good movie.

Alas, Porco Rosso was not one of my favorite ones. >>
I kinda think The Cat Returns is a sequel to Whispers of the Heart. Maybe not.

I wouldn't consider this a sequel, exactly.
