I've heard about this earlier! Something I'll have to mention in an upcoming episode. *ahem* Backwards compatibily retunring would be great and a price drop is something Sony needs man. I'm glad I have my backwards compatible PS3. Would be great if others can have the same. ^__^
Oh, I've also seen some stuff on the new firmware they're planning from Screwattack. The PSN is supposed to be more streamlined with it, you can take screencaps of offensive players, there's a new recognition system and patches can be downloaded in the background.
Well, the PS3 can still play PS1 games. But, if the PS2 backwards compatibility were to return, getting one would be much easier, since the price is much lower now, and trading my PS2 for one would just lower the price even more.
About friggen time! I mean, seriously, the PS3 doesn't (currently) have any good games that would make people want to go out and buy it (or rather, doesn't have any good games that the Xbox360 has） and the fact that it couldn't play old games was total crap. Glad Sony started using their heads for once.

this would seriously factor into me getting a PS3. one of the main reasons i didn't get one was not being able to play my old games on it.
