The pokemon website actually has a pretty awesome trailer out. (My boyfriend has been following this for a while...it's so creepy, he tells me about this stuff and then the next time I log on it's there! O_O)
I can't wait!
But the only thing I don't like, is the character design for the female. She looks like a female version of Mario...*sad face*
*sigh* yet another game where I'll play as a boy...O WELL IT'S POKEMON~
Oh my,I was really expecting these two games to come around Fall next year,but Spring's alot closer. I'm happy with that,that means we don't have to wait THAT long. After all,I guess it's about 6 months away and time flies when you're not paying attention to it. ;3
Anyways,I was excited about the news of a remake of Gold and Silver,hearing that it'll be released before Fall next year makes me feel even happier.
And judging the screenshots that have been shown recently,this should be turning into a great remake,I think. Well,we'll see if it really is a great remake when it'll has come out,right?
Relevant: The official Pokeymans website has put up a rather spiffy trailer, even if the voice-over is a little silly. Highlights include a glimpse of the New Goldenrod (reminiscent of Jubilife) and Ecruteak, complete with pretty fall colors. Also, new fire dungeon (Possibly a revamped Blackthorn Gym?) and a bridge area I don't quite recognize.
And yes, I do realize how awfully sad it is that I've memorized the originals to the point where I can recognize every single frame of the remake trailer.
EDIT: Okay, so about the fire dungeon I mentioned earlier. Just rewatched the video, I noticed that the player had no Pokemon trailing him in that scene. Since they've shown non-starters following the mains and we all know you can't even leave town without a 'mon, my only logical conclusion must be that you can turn off the option to have your partner tag along. Nice option to have, though I doubt many people will bother. I would like to see the ability to select which Pokemon follows you without having them lead your lineup, though.

I saw screenshots and that trailer and I have to say it looks really interesting. Having your starter follow like Pikachu did in Yellow is kinda nice. Also the cutscenes of Ho-Oh and Lugia look really cool.
Gold and Silver were the best in the series in my eyes, I can't wait to conquer with Cyndoquil and his evolutions again!

I thought since it was gonna come out next month in Japan that it was gonna come out like in the fall of next year, but spring? even better! ^.^
I'm so excited, I can barely contain it! Spring 2010 isn't really that far off, I was expecting it to be longer, like Fall. I can't wait, Gold/Silver/Crystal were so fun!
