I was scared to hear about this. I did not like the Wolverine trailer; while the Iron Man trailer, I have to say, is actually pretty good. I don't know if this will be a good thing; this will upset a lot of Marvel fans *cough*myhusband*cough*
I was extremely excited, until I saw what Wolverine looked like. I felt that the animators really emasculated him. I think I'll be able to look over the minor disappointment, after all, I can't be too close-minded about it.
Not a big Marvel fan, so this didn't really affect me until I saw Wolverine. Then I checked it out. While the hair confused me, I liked what I saw of the trailer, and can't wait to see what they do. So long as they don't ruin his personality, I'm perfectly fine.
I have the first volumes of both the Wolverine and the Misfits books, and I'm relieved to say that I wasn't terribly disappointed. :) True, the Misfits book was a little too shoujo for my tastes (i.e. more sparkles than the entire Cullen family...Yes even Magneto and Prof. X), but it was cute and made for a good time killer. The Wolverine book was better than what I expected. Not canon, but didn't degrade our favorite Canknucklehead like most expected. I did get a good laugh at his hair...Ridiculously fluffy, but hey! XDDD
Iron Man is Pwnage with a capital EPIC no matter what. I say go for it. I'm more laid-back with what different companies do with different franchises and style, so if it looks promising I'll give it a shot and take it from there. :) Looking forward to it!
UPDATE:
Did anyone else feel that the Wolverine anime was...Kill Bill-ish...with the slow motion/close-ups/cherry blossoms/etc.? Yeeeah...AND WHAT'S WITH THE POWER MULLET?! It's like Wolvie has outclassed the Super Saiyans just by being...disturbingly bishounen. I'm not that thrilled with the trailer (3 and 1/8 rating lolwut?), but the animation is good. But Shiney does not always equal awesome, as rare as those cases may be! :/ *fingers crossed*

Disney > Marvel > Marvel characters in anime = Disney owns it all.
Of course, it's a bit too late to panic now even if this logic held water, since Stitch has had his own anime series for almost a year now (also by Madhouse, interestingly enough.)
Oh hey, Madhouse also worked on DC's Batman: Gotham Knight shorts, and those came out great. There's definitely potential for this to work out, especially considering the Japanese intros to the '90s X-Men cartoon where they got anime-styled and put on steroids:
oh, whoopee, just another bloody Marvel franchize, now that everything's getting more and more 'anime' eventually everything's gonna look the same.
Nayru forbid they should be innovative or original, that's not what mass media's about, oh no, just takes whatever's popular, slap yoor own name on it and make money.
The trailers look rubbish anyway.
That said, I do obviously love anime, but I like it better when things stay close to their roots.
Sick. Anime's fine with anime stories, but you keep it away from my American(/Canadian XD) heroes! My two favorites are the first to be mutilated. Figures. If they bishie up Wolvie, I shall be quite put out. I prefer my men masculine. That means being able to tell them apart from the heroin. The exact opposite of everything anime.
Upon further investigation, I found that the Wolverine trailer is more of a concept to get people pumped than the real thing. Something tells me the anime mullet's the first thing to go. >>'
Venture Brothers' parody > actual, in the case of the Fantastic Four, just sayin'.
A real treat would be seeing Ant-Man, Wasp, Thor or any of the lesser known X-Men. You're just ragging on Wolverine and Iron Man since they're an ensemble darkhorse and one of the more interesting badass normals to have hit the big screen. That, and the actors that play them on the silver screen have estrogen brigades larger than the entire state of Nebraska and have been known to act on occasion.
PietroxWanda... think about it; Japan would do it and still be able to sleep at night.
When I read your nugget, I immediately had my doubts. Then I watched the clip they had for Wolverine and had a fan-girl moment. X3 I"m still a little iffy about the one for Iron Man, but who knows? That one may come to grow on me. Either way, I seriously do hope that they don't go overboard on the cultural diffusion. (I doubt they will though.)

I had a feeling X-men was going to be anime-fied sooner or later. But Wolverine looked...tacky. To say the least.
Iron Man owned. 'nuff said.

No, Disney doesn't own Anime. In terms of Anime, Disney just owns the dubs it did for Studio Ghibli-made films.

If I had input, I'd recommend that Marvel introduce MadHouse to the works of Pat Lee, who did a Punisher/Wolverine crossover in an anime style.
