i am VERY saddened by this. he was a great artist, and made the day of many people when they watched shin-chan. it was one of my favorites as well. may his work be remembered, RIP Yoshito Usui.

May he rest in peace ;_; I really love the Shinchan series (not the American dub though...), for a series to be that famous and beloved in Japan--I'm sure it's just much of shock to people there as was the past celebrities' deaths in America and to around the world. I'm very sad that the creator had to die an awful way like that. D: My condolences to his family, especially his wife, as I'm just shocked since I heard of the grim news of the unidentified yet resembled body of Usui-sensei yesterday ;__;
Once again, RIP Yoshito Usui.

Can't really say I liked Shin-Chan all that much. Some moments made me laugh, others didn't, and a few I was wondering "What the hell?" the whole time.
However anyone saw Shin-Chan, the loss of Yoshito Usui is one that will affect many people. May he be remembered more for himself than his work.

OH NO! I've watched Shin-Chan a few times before so I don't know that much about it, but it made me laugh hysterically anyway! My prayers go out to his family, co-workers, and fans...A striking loss in the manga world. ;___;
I'm...I'm, I'm really saddened by this. I love Shin-Chan, it's one of my favorite animes/mangas. My prayers are with his family and friends, and I hope he is in a better place now.
I'm sorry if the news nugget was a bit too long. I simply thought that the people should also know what would happen to the Shin-Chan series after Usui's death, thus making it a bit lengthy.
Again, may the soul of Yoshito Usui rest in peace.

He was in his fifties, too?
It's a bad year to be a well-known middle-aged person. I hope the family is able to cope.

Hey, sometimes a nugget needs to be a little longer.
It is sad that it has to come to this, but some have to go a bit earlier than others.
Be true, be you and of course, be otaku.
