Yes! I do know quite a few Japanese paintings, though I don't always know the symbolance. I know like you say, the wave is a variation of yin/yang....balance of strength and calm. XD I thought it really suited the samurai featured, cuz like you said, in this picture he is so calm...just waiting. ((Tetsu is normally pretty scattered in his emotions...so he kind of IS like water...*thinks*))

Wonderful pick for the pattern of the doors, especially if you know the panting. If I remember, right ‘The Great Wave’ represents yin and yang, and this whole wally has that feel to it even though the house is being attacked. The wave shows the power and fierceness while the Samurai ((Sorry I fail at knowing about this character)) has a calm and collected, waiting to strike, feel about him. So Excellent choice!!!! It blends so well together that I could, totally, see scene in a manga! >XDDDD
Yes....Yes I most certainly did!! I'm so happy it came out well!! Here's a little secret...while I was making it....well I was about an hour or so into it and....I accidently closed it without saving!! It was so horrible...I had to start ALL OVER!!! So I actually did it twice...adding to the intensity. ROFL!
LOL! Yeah, Okita is a guy...but he has girly tendencies. Before I watched...I honestly thought he was a woman too. XD Did you see Susumu as a woman! Isn't he GORGEOUS!! ROFL!!!!
It is pretty cool, I'm halfway through and there are some pretty funny moments I'll tell you. ^^ Bleach and Naruto...interesting concept...add a little bit of Rurouni Kenshin, and I would be obliged to agree. ;)

Kira, you went all out on this one. And I'm glad you did. It's amazing, stunning, and full of samurai spirit! I really like the background and your final decision to make it a painting. The arrows are great addition to it. Definitely a favorite! Good luck in the contest!
I just watched the first few eps of peacemaker a couple of days ago. Is it just me or does it seem like a cross between Bleach and naruto? Anyway that's what i thought and it took me forever to figure out if the dude with the purple hair was a guy or a girl (and i'm still not convinced). It's a pretty cool anime though, i'll probably end up watching more, of course that's after i've finished my current stack of DVD's. Lolz I love your wallpaper, it's realy cool.
