This wallpaper features the final shot from the 26th and final episode of the 1st "Space Battleship Yamato" T.V. Series (known in North America as "Star Blazers: The Quest for Iscandar"). What you're seeing in that shot is the Yamato (called Argo in the North American English dub) returning to Earth from its long voyage to Iscandar, getting ready to restore life on the planet surface.
