Long time no wallpaper. To be honest I've been hesitant about uploading any new wallpapers because of the art thief fiasco that happened but I'm learning to move past it and not let them have power over me.
I've seen a lot of new art for the revamped Sailor Moon series entitled Sailor Moon: Crystal which I'm kind of excited about. The character art (that's been released so far) looks really good. They look closer to the original manga and the characters look a bit more individualized then before. But classic Sailor Moon still has a place in my heart as it was the anime that helped me discover anime. Another random sidenote here). :)
Anyways I found this render of Usagi as Sailor Moon and wanted to make a wallpaper of it. I originally wanted to do something that reflected the original scan which had all these beautiful light beams shining from the crystal. I tried to kind of capture that effect here but I'm not sure I succeeded at it. I would appreciate some feedback in this area as I've never tried something like that before. I tried my best to make it kind of like that. That's why I used the bokeh, plus it added some more texture. I also used a starry sky texture for more effect but I lost the link since I've had it for along time. Another thing I had to do was try and extend Usagi's hair out as the render cut off some of them. Hope it looks ok. I did my best. I really tried to take my time and make this the best wallpaper I could. I may decide to remake it at some point but I'm happy with it for now. Also planning on making a wallpaper with the new art of the Sailor Senshi as a group, time permitting. Title inspired by the Coldplay song "A Sky Full Of Stars". Listened to it while I made this wallpaper.

Random Note: The new Sailor Moon: Crystal series premieres in Japan sometime in July and have heard rumors of it being dubbed as well. I think they also plan on releasing two or so new episodes a month. This series was created to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Sailor Moon. Can't believe it's been around that long. The original anime first premiered in 1992. For more info about the revamped Sailor Moon series, click here.
