This idea was written by Kratos Cruxis about Rabbithole, Mercy and Mad Hatter based on the Rabbithole strip. I love it so much! ;www; I'm really happy right now, I never thought Kratos would take the time to write this. It's great to see how others interpret the drawings. Thank you~!
------------------------------------
The Rabbit Hole is an underground tournament where fighters hope to win the ultimate prize of the Rabbit Cup which grants them a very high standing in the underground society as well as a major link into the Alice Dust industry that the area is known for. Alice Dust, a rare ore that has the ability to take on many different forms, is in rather high demand in the world mostly for its properties. The best way to 'get rich fast' per say is to win this cup and claim control of the Alice Dust mines. However, the tournament is extremely brutal, and challengers must work their way to the top from over 300 competitors. Many people chose to 'higher' fighters rather than participate in the competition themselves. Some will search for prison inmates that are known extremely well for their violent ways while some will look to foreign lands in order to seek out the strongest.
The Mad Hatter, an infamous killer known for her brutal attacks and dangerous ways, was hired by a very notorious man who goes by the name Cheshire. This man wishes to take full control of the Alice Dust industry by using the Mad Hatter as his tool. In exchange for her helping him, the industrialist grants the Mad Hatter any wish her heart desires. However, Cheshire never specifies what this is, and the Mad Hatter appears to take the offer for her own reasons along with this.
Upon entering the tournament, the Mad Hatter finds that everyone appears to have the same goals... to get to the top and fast. The fighting begins, and the Mad Hatter proves herself to be far greaten than a large amount of people. She instantly moves through and finds man rogues and renegades that wish to join forces with her. However, she states that she is a loaner by nature and only working this for her personal reasons. During the course of the fights, the Mad Hatter meets a fighter named Mercy. The two fight and find that both are on equal grounds. In the end, their fight is a tie, and both of them go on to the next round. Neither one wishes to give up, and despite the fact that neither one will tell the other why they actually entered the tournament, they become somewhat close.
As the tournament goes on, the Mad Hatter fights a man known as the White Rabbit. He appears to be fighting in order to preserve the life of his sister whom the man who hired him is holding hostage. He becomes insanely time frantic and even evokes fighting moves called Times. However, what he doesn't know is that the man who hired him has already killed his sister meaning that he really has no time at all. In the end, the Mad Hatter defeats him and moves on through the tournament. At that point in the tournament, the weakest are weeded out completely, and people are given 'rabbit' tattoos as a sort of award of sorts. From there on out, one has to kill his opponent in order to proceed.
At the very end, it proves to be the Mad Hatter versus Mercy once more, and both stand challenging each other's ideals and who they actually are. They learn some secrets about one another that neither were willing to admit before hand, and in the end of it all, instead of fighting each other, they turn towards the viewer box and take out Cheshire who 'disappears' after a brief fight. With the people that hired them 'gone' the Mad Hatter and Mercy begin to rework the Underground Tournament to their pleasing and work together to make it more successful. They also take a large chunk of control in the Alice Dust and end up rich.
Mercy later asks the Mad Hatter why she joined the tournament in the first place, and she admits that she had some deep connection to the tournament and wished to take it for herself without her intentions being found out.
