1. Why did Ruby not like Gervais?
Answer: Because he was annoying. Always getting on her nerves, making rude comments and burping loudly.

Answer: The first night Ruby stayed with Cora after being taken in by child services, she tried to run away. She tried to jump over the fence connected with Nate's yard, but Jamie caught her. Nate, who was swimming in his pool at the time, covered for Ruby.
