I gave Kyoka, Miyako, and a few others a small wave as they entered the classroom. Iruka waltzed in shortly after and began today's lecture.
It was then that Raijin came in, and after Iruka told him to go to his seat, he sheepishly came and sat down right next to me. I smile reassuringly at him. "You didn't miss much."
"Ok, good," he nodded, and we turned our attention back on the teacher at the front of the room. Apparently, we were each going to have to show off a technique today in class one by one in front of everyone.
He called on me and asked that I do a simple cloning Jutsu. I sighed, I hated being first, but I couldn't very well go against the teacher, so I stood up and went to the front of the classroom where I felt a little self-conscious being where everyone could see me.
I did the required hand movements and did as I was asked, producing a flawless clone of the sensei. No one would have been able to tell the difference. My uneasiness faded; I was no longer nervous. Iruka wrote something down in his little notebook and nodded. I went back to my seat and watched as he called on the others.
Raijin smiled at me, leaned over, and whispered, "You're clone was good."
I smiled at him. "Thanks! I'm sure yours will be fine as well." Most of the kids didn't have any problem with this technique as we had been practicing it since day one. It was nearly second nature to us now.
