My secret side project site is now being overrun with my elite group of theOtaku loyalists :-D. Go, go, go, make it launch ready!
Last night we also added yet a new feature to Edition Skinny...FYI it's related to challenges.
As you might have read before, inspiration struck me hard and in 1-2 weeks I have almost a fully functional, super-cool website project finished. It's my first one in five years that I designed and coded all myself.
Before I launch I want to recruit an elite group of beta members to help find any small bugs and contribute content.
Here are the requirements:
(1) Movie fan - This site is about movies in general
(2) Witty, sharp humor sense
(3) Can write without too many spelling/grammar errors
Anyone chosen will immediately receive a special title on the site for life. They will also get preferential consideration for mod treatment there. You'll also get to see the site before anyone else.

I worked like a demon today @_@
I just couldn't stop, it was like I was possessed. Everytime I started to take a break I was pulled back to the computer by an invisible force.
I made HUGE progress on my secret side project. This is the first site in like five years that I've programmed and designed all by myself.
It's good.
Here's a hint on the site:
It's all about fan creativity, like theOtaku, except the focus is broader, on like movies and TV and things.
It will also require wit and I expect you all to help it out!! I'll consider this site theOtaku's baby brother, making you all automatic uncles and aunts to it.

-- I went to a Tim Burton exhibit today at the Museum of Modern Art. It was fantastic, probably one of the best exhibits I've ever seen.
-- Edition Skinny is coming along well. We've already knocked off 6-7 small upgrades. I think we'll launch when we have 15, that's a good, round number.
-- In order to up my skills, I'm working on a side project website. It's a site idea I've wanted to do for ages now. The problem with working on a site as big as theOtaku is that it's hard to learn new skills because the site is so complicated. Starting from scratch on smaller projects helps me learn and experiment.
-- Who here saw Twilight: New Moon?
-- One of my top priorities right now is getting out of debt. For various reasons I've racked up a lot of credit card debt, which is horrible and I'm not proud of it. Every time you take on credit card debt you're borrowing money from someone. I'm working two part time jobs now, but it's still not enough...either I can find a third one or go full time somewhere.
-- I'm excited for Thanksgiving, to see Utada Hikaru in concert in February.
