NYAF + Impersonators

Miss Anonymous impersonated me in chat tonight and despite typing lots of nonsense nobody was the wiser. You can see the hilarious chat log here.

I'm really happy and proud of all our members for stepping up and submitting lots of NYAF items. So far we have nine entries and it's only been a couple days.

FUNimation gave me some DVDs to give away during the anime club viewing chat parties. I dropped by the FMA one last night and gave out a copy of Air TV and the Air Movie.

New Chat Rule

If you want to ask me a question while I'm in theOtaku chat, DO NOT type "Adam can I ask you a question" over and over again. This is a huge waste of time for both of us. **JUST ASK THE QUESTION** and don't ask permission to ask the question. Odds are by just asking, someone else in chat will help you anyway.

If your question is really important then email it to us.

Moving forward, anyone who asks for permission to ask a question in chat will definitely not get their question answered by me.

Twilighting

I'm embarrassed to say but I rented Twilight.

Nothing about what I've seen or heard about the movie/books appeals to me even 1%

I do like to stay on top of trends though and I'm hoping by watching it that I'll understand at least a little its appeal

We'll see, I'll post my thoughts when I get myself to watch the thing

On another note, FMA's first episode was really fantastic.

On another note, Last Song by Gackt is really fantastic too.

On another note, I thought of ways to promote CHALLENGES more.

On another note, I have an overwhelming amount of stuff to do...

My First Non-theOtaku Website In 6 Years

As some of you know I've been working on creating a video game for the iPhone. This game is a big bet for me in the same way that Version Vibrant was a big bet. I've been working on it for a long, long time, the one-year mark is coming up. I hope that one day people draw fan art about the game the same way they draw fan art about titles we cover here.

One thing you might not know is that I'm also creating my first non-theOtaku website in six years. The site will be small and video game related. If it does well maybe it'll some day grow into a theOtaku-like force, if not then it didn't take much time and resources, I just hope you all help it out at the start. My last two non-theOtaku projects were books: Art Of Otaku and Artpreneurship.

The first website I ever made was a small video game website when I was 16 so I like the idea of going back to my roots with this project to celebrate my own web-10 year anniversary.

The new site will be out by April 30th. The only thing I can say about it is that it's a concept that's never been done before.

Advertising Challenges?

How/where should we promote challenges? I think that it's too much work to constantly check for new ones, there should be some of mechanism that a lazy otaku can quickly go and see what new ones were added.

How about a backroom thing next to new member introductions?
