Hello Otakuites--
So I've never been a big drinker. I'll have one or two at most on a given night if I'm out with friends and no one drives in New York City (just taxis and subways) so I never worry about that.
This year though since I've been studying bartending as a hobby, while I still only drank one or two drinks maximum a night, I did it more nights than usual.
Anyway, my doctor called this morning and said that my recent blood test showed some liver damage and I'd have to put a halt to all drinking until we can figure out what's what with another test sometime in February.
I hope that this serves as a warning, that even if you never drive and only drink socially, that alcohol can still cause health problems.
As for myself, I'll be fine, since drinking isn't a big part of my life I can go without it indefinitely. I just hope the "damage" is easily healed. It's more a matter of lost convenience, sometimes business meetings are held at bars and you look silly ordering a ginger ale instead of a bottle of beer
The monster feature I'm going to add to theO is progressing shockingly quickly. That doesn't mean I'm going to launch it tomorrow, but it does mean that it'll give me time to add some frills and polish to it before launch.
We need an official mascot for the monster feature. So here we go, every time I mention the monster feature, I'm going to post the following picture:
I think that the recently announced Otaku Angels title will bring something nice to the site. I intend to make a page listing all Angels so new members who are lost can simply PM them if they feel overwhelmed by something. That's just one small example.
I'm also working behind the scenes on a monster feature. It's going to be along the lines of trophies but I think it'll be 10 times cooler. Like trophies though it'll mainly benefit people who submit things.
I watched the opera Madame Butterfly on DVD today. It was the first opera I ever saw. I liked it! Is anyone here an opera fan who could recommend any others?

Can you believe that Version Vibrant's one year birthday is only a little over a month away?
Seriously. I wouldn't ever want to relive the months immediately before and after launch.
I wonder if I should do anything special for VV's birthday?
Hm...
The trophy case feature took me about an hour to create...the "make the avatars load faster" feature took me like five hours.
Yet I wonder which one people will get moar attention
