Exhausted

Any time you can end your day exhausted I think that's the sign of a good day :-)

Here's a quick life tip: Write down somewhere in view: "Is this the best use of your time?" and ask yourself this question over and over again throughout the day

Otaku Notes

If you noticed, my great wallpaper experiment begun earlier today.

I will keep you all in the know of how it goes. All I can say is that initial results have been very surprising.

I accomplished a ridiculous amount this weekend, I've been really buckling down...as I promised, 2009 isn't going to be the year of revelations (that was 2008), it will be the year of refinements.

Now, for an important question:

What's your biggest theOtaku pet peeve? If enough people agree I'll put it at the top of my list to solve!

Wallpaper Downloads

I want to get your opinion on this: What if we required registration once again to download full-sized wallpapers on our site?

Here are my thoughts:

Pros:
-- We would instantly and dramatically increase registration rates
-- Even though a % of registered members would just download wallpapers and leave, it's certain that a % will stay and become active. Some of our best members now only registered because we used to require it for wallpaper downloads
-- Comments on wallpapers would probably increase since some of those registered members would stay

Cons:
-- Some visitors who have no interest in registering wouldn't bother to and would just leave
-- Wallpaper artists might not like this restriction for when they want to link someone to their wallpaper

Am I missing anything else?

The scientist in me wants to do an experiment for a few days to see whether my pros and cons are accurate.

Freezer...

Every time I want to cook chicken or seafood I go to the local butcher or seafood market (within a few blocks of my apartment).

Today I realized that I could buy a lot and just store it in the freezer.

For some reason it never clicked in my mind how good of an idea and time saver this would be.

Imagine how convenient?

What's for dinner tonight, Adam?

Whatever I want because I have a ton of different food in the freezer :-D :-D :-D

Vs.

What's for dinner tonight, Adam?

Crap, I forgot to go to the butcher today and I only have peanut butter in the closet. I guess I'm eating peanut butter.

I am soooooooooooooooo happy with this discovery. Tomorrow I'm going to go on a meat shopping-spree.
