1) Pull over!
so we had just rented a car to drive around honolulu with and we pull out onto a tiny little access road. after about a minute, we hear police sirens behind us. not even five minutes on the road, and were already pulled over. we pull over and my mom rolls down the window. "are you out of your mind?!" he asks my mom. of course, she thinks shes sweet talking her way out when shes just babbling annoyingly. "the speed limit is TWENTY-FIVE miles an hour. youre going FIFTY-FOUR! thats DOUBLE THE LIMIT!" my mom continues babbling about she didnt know etc etc.... "where are you from?" he demands. "w-well-we just landed and-"
"where are you FROM?"
"-we litterally just pulled out and-"
"can i see your drivers lisence" he gave up after asking and not getting an answer from my stupid mom. she pulls out her lisence and shows him.
"Ohhhh...california..." he starts to realize. "Eh, are you from L.A.?" he asked us straight up. after my moms babbling my sister steps in and answers him yes. (cuz we are) he completely calms down and tells us that we can go and gives us directions for where were trying to go. ahh sweet LA! off to go see hawaii!

2)2) You Mean You're...Where?
We went to a pancake house for breakfast and i was done with my pancakes so i went off to the bathroom so i could text (which i usually never do) and decided to text one of my bffs (who i usually never text)"Hey! I'm in hawaii!wats up with u?" i asked her. "hawaii? im there too!"
"really? where?"
"Kaanapali on maui" she answers. i knew we were going to maui but i didnt know what area. so i asked my mom when i got back to the table. then she told me that we were staying at the westin kaanapali. then i got super excited. we were walking toward the car and i was textiin my bff back. "were staying in kaanapali too! at the westin!"
"OMG!!! were at the westin too!" she called me on the phone and we chatted a little and hung out once i got to maui. really if you think about it what are the chances that we would be 1, best friends 2, in the same hotel 3, on the same island 4, that itd all be at the same time and 5, that i decided to text her at that random point in time!Ahahahaa!
3) Blackout/lost!
we finished unpacking so we decided we would go have some lunch downstairs by the pool. the elevator opens then we just step inside.we hadnt even pressed the button yetand the hotel has a blackout! my sister pried open the doors and we ran out as fast as we could. so now what? were all thinking. since the elevator was broken we took the stairs, which took us to the basement, which got us lost for a good 15 minutes. talk about your unpredictability.
Ahahahaa!
4) Tatooed
I was kayaking with my bffl (see story two) when my mom and my sister come running up the shoreline and start telling me this story. "so we were paddling and i felt this burning on my arm and i didnt know what it was so i just looked down and this fricken huge jellyfish was on my arm!" my sister screamed to me. "It was a portugese man-o-war!" my mom added (portugese man-o-war are one of the most painful/poisonous types of jellies) it was also they told me "a little bigger than the size of a computer mouse" (usually the size of a largish coin) so this is how it went:
1. it came up on the paddle and fell on my sisters arm
2.panicpanicpanic...it was stuck on her arm so they had to peel it off
3.it came off but it was still in the kayak swimming in the little puddles
it was also funny because after a while, the swelling came down and it looked kinda like a reddish tatoo. aaahhhh, you gotta love that when its your first time in the hawaii water for that trip.Ahahahaa!
5) Wishful Thinking...Kind of.
My friend and i were sitting in a hammock and eating lunch and we were chatting for a while about people at our school and people we knew. then we started talking about how cool it would be if certain people were there. "I wish Mitchel were here." she said blankly. "yeah well...thats just TOTALLY going to happen" i said sarcastically. "Jenna!" both our heads snap up in response to the loud noise. "Oh hey, Mitchel...." we both answer completely stunned and half dazed. "Well, hows THAT for wishful thinking" i said.
Ahahahaa!
6)My sister's Necklace
My mom and sister had gone swimming down at the beach for the evening. after a few hours, they were back at the room chatting up a storm. blablablablaballablblaaaa chatchatchattchatterrchater. etc etc. "do you have my necklace?" my sister asked my mom. "no i thought you had it!" so now, its in the sand lost...lost in the sand so my sister and i go down to the beach to find it and its pitch black outside. we need a flashlight but all i have is my phone so i use it as a flashligt while my sister goes through the sand plowing her way through about 50 square feet of sand...and you know you never find anything in sand! not bags, wallets, keys,...nothing. even those things that arent valuable to you, like the things you cant seem to get rid of you cant find in the sand...and shes looking for a tiny tiny TINY little expensive Tiffany necklace her bf got her for her bday. but sure enough she found it! omg...the impossible things that happen in hawaii.
