Every time I look at the top 25 artist list it's always nice to see my friends on there and everything. Seeing their art work and liking it. It's always nice to see my friends improve. In fact the reason that I created an account in 07 was because I just loved all the artwork in this place and all the people seemed so nice since I had been looking at all the art work on here since 05 and everything just improved since then.
I guess the sad part is the fact that I've been here for 6 years and been putting up art for just about the same amount of years and not once have I ever made it to number one...It just sucks to know that I worked so hard on my art and then I'm just kicked to the dust and forgotten about. I mean congrats to the people who are always up there, I just wish that once in my life I could actually see some of us that can never seem to make it to number on in that spot for once. I don't even care if it's me. I just want to see all the members who don't get that much attention to actually have a chance for once.
Also just on a side note who else thinks that we should have a limit for how many fan arts someone can put up with in a 24 hour period. *Raises hand* When I originally came here in 07 you could only put up three entries in every category (fantart, wallpapers,and ecards) with in 24 hours and that was your limit. It didn't matter how far up in the ranks you were that was your limit. Now I was happy when they increased it to four every 24 hours I was fine with that. Now that it's unlimited amount of entries for every category. I notice that if someone puts up a lot of fanart at once the majority of their art work if taking up the top 8 for the day. Honestly to me putting up so many artworks in a day like that shouldn't be allowed in my opinion. I'm just saying that because what if someone puts up one artwork while someone else is putting up a boat load of artwork and then the person who put up the one piece doesn't even get noticed. That's my opinion though you can agree or disagree with me. That's usually why If I have a lot of artwork that I want to put up. I'll choose which ones I want to put up then I'll wait until the next day to put more up to give everyone an equal chance at getting on the top 8. I fell that everyone should have an equal opportunity to get on there.
Sorry for such a depressing post, but this is how I've been feeling every time I go and look at the fanart page and the top artist list. You can leave your opinion and rip me apart for this if you want it honestly won't bother me. I'm a big girl (being the fact that I'm going on 21, not height wise.) I can handle is considering what I major in is art, I'm use to it.
