I forgot to tell you all yesterday a funny thing that I ended up doing on accident at work on the farm yesterday. Since it was a really nice day outside yesterday up here in western new york the two boys I work with Glen, Aurther, and myself were all working yesterday because we had a lot of cleaning to do since today the weather isn't so nice and it's supposed to snow for the next few days so obviously we needed to get things done. Well we started with the garden and had to get the wood we used for holding down the insulate over the plants for winter then we had to get all the big rocks out of the garden. I know fun story so far but I'm getting to the good part.
We did that took care of the plants in the green house moved the plants from the shop to the green house so that way I can thoroughly clean the shop at some point this week cut myself with a butcher knife cutting apples for lunch. It's just a small cut so it's fine. Then we had to start raking. All the fun of raking right? Well the main part of the raking that we weren't looking forward to was raking the back yard that was around the garden. The old willow tree hadn't dropped all it's leaves by the time the snow started falling so needless to say we had a lot of raking to do in the back yard on top of the sticks that that fell through the winter.
Well when we were taking a short break from going onto the next chunk of the backyard who we thought was a customer was pulling into the driveway. Now Aurther is still getting use to taking care of customers so he didn't really want to go and Glen decided the first person to raise their hand would be the one to go and take care of them. Now with my pen or pencil I have a habit of spinning it around between my fingers when I'm thinking or bored. Well I sighed at Aurther and Glen and said that I would go and take care of the customer and subconsciously spun the rake that I was holding with a few of my fingers and then rested it on my shoulder like it was a staff or some sort of weapon! XD
When I realized what I did in front of the boys where were just staring at me like thy couldn't believe that I was able to do that I quickly dropped the rake and ran to the shop to go and help the customer. When I came back Aurther was trying to figure out how I did it! I couldn't help but laugh at myself from doing that. It was fun to do so when the boys decided to go and take care of the green house I just stood out side and just played with the rake like a boss! XD
Anyways I wanted to tell you all what happened yesterday, because I know that it seems a lot of people seem to be down and I hope that this brings a smile to your face.
