Today at some point I don't know when but I'm taking my little sister and her best friend to Holiday Valley. to go snowboarding. Tiff and I are going to teach my little sister how to snowboard. Lets see if I have the amount of paticents to be able to teach my little sister how to snowboard. XD It's more than likely going to be tonight so it will be my first time snowboarding at night. I'm pretty excited about that.
I'm also making mini cupcakes that I'm gong to turn into christmas tree cupcakes. I'll post a picture up of them when I'm done but if you want to know how to make them I'll tell you now.
- Cake or brownie mix
- Mini cupcake papers and pan
- Strawberries
- Frosting (can be homemade or store bought)
- Green food coloring
- Sprinkles
-Pick what flavor you want your cupcakes to be. (i picked chocolate but it doesn't really matter. You can also do this with brownie mix.)
-Follow instructions on box to make batter (I usually wait to preheat oven till I have all the little cupcake papers in your mini cupcake pan)
-fill little cups 1/2- 3/4 of the way full once all cups are filled with cake mix put it oven. Waiting game as cupcakes cook begins.
-Once you pull them out wait about 5 minuets they are actually still cooking and it also lets them cool so you don't burn your self on them or the pan or both 0_0
-Make as many batches as it takes to finish off cake mix.
-Now with all your mini cupcakes cooled and swarming your table or counter it's time to break out a new bowl, the food coloring, and your frosting.
-Open your frosting and scoop it into the bowl then add your green food coloring and mix them together. (If you use store bought frosting it's actually better to whip the frosting before you put it on whatever your making it brings more air into it, makes it easier to spread and honestly just looks a lot better.)
-Once that's done get out your strawberries and cut the green tops off and cut them in half. (These will be your base for the christmas tree)
-Once you've cut the strawberries. Put a thin layer of frosting on the cupcakes then put the strawberries on top of that frosting. (This will keep them from sliding as you apply the frosting to them.)
-Put rest of frosting on berries as thin or as thick as you want.
-Take a toothpick and "spank" the frosting to pull the frosting out to make it look like you have little branches then add your sprinkles!
Like I said once I finish mine I will put a picture up so you all can see them!
