Extreme Boredom
Ever since she returned to the hideout, she experienced nothing but extreme boredom. Deena was recovering, and she wasn't allowed to cause any havoc so Puppet was pretty alone. She sighed as watched Jashin's severed head roll in front of her feet,...Much needed rest.
Unable to refuse Konan; I put down the unfinished paper work on my desk and left my office. "Thank you Konan... I can always count on you." I yawned and stumbled to my room. I pushed open the farthest door in the hall with Rei(Zero) painted on it and collapsed in my bed. I was truely lucky to have konan around otherwise I would probably never sleep. I thought groggily. Trying to forget about my unfinished work.. I hope I will not be intreruppted by Tobi like I usually am. I was glad to hear peaceful silence; not even broken by Hidan's constant steam of cursing. I'll make sure to be up by dinner at least.
With that, I drifted into a deep sleep.
Return
I had just returned from my morning mission. I jumped off my clay bird to find everyone to be extremely quiet. Even Hidan was passed out on the couch with Jashin on his chest. "Must be slow around here today, un." I commented; Konan came up to me. "Shh, be queit Deidara. Nagato is trying to sleep." I held up my arms. "Alright, I won't make too much noise, un." I walked to the living room and collapsed on the couch. Jashin mewed and walked over to me; I petted him even though the thing scared the ever living crap out of me. Hidan opened his eyes, "Oi, what the fuck are you doing back so soon?" He asked; annoyed with the fact that I took up his sleeping space. I glared slightly at him. "Well unlike you I don't take all day to kill my targets, un." He furrowed his brows. "As if a heathen like you would understand the beautiful pain of sacrafice." I rolled my eyes, "Yeah well the burns are pretty damn ugly if you ask me, un." Annoyed, He lifted his leg and kicked me in the hip. I glared at him; he gladly returned it. "Hell, if you want to talk about injuries; you should go visit Deena in the infirmiry." I blinked trying to process what he said. "Wait, Deena's injured?" He sighed; fustration seeping into his voice. "Fuck you're such a blond; I can't believe you haven't noticed all the people going in and out of that disgusting place." He pointed at Kakuzu who looked tired and on edge. I jumped up; Hidan closed his eyes again and took up the rest of the couch as I walked out of the living room and down the corridor. I pushed open the swinging doors to find Deena on one of the nearer beds. I breathed a little easier to finding her looking more annoyed and bored than hurt. "Hey." I said as I pulled up a chair. "Deidara?" Deena questioned; she paused. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to make you worry; I hope you're not mad." She looked uncomfortable; I smiled slightly. "Nah, stuff like this happens all the time, un. I'm sure Madara-Sama is angry enough as it is. It's no use if I get mad too." I shrugged. "I'm sorry I wasn't here but Pein had some work for me to do this morning, un."
Boring day
I was still in too much pain to do anything, Kakuzu made me stay in bed. He looked a little tired after running around looking after me. I was so frustrated being in bed and not being allowed to do anything. Chee, Nana and Kisame had already been to see me and i feel just awful about making people worry without meaning to. I was wondering how saint was doing. I heard a knock on my door, i turn to look towards the door "yes?" i asked. The door opened and it was Kakuzu with a clipboard i grumbled "Don't you dare complain be grateful girl. Now i have to ask you some questions." he said annoyed "can you see properly?" he asked "yes" i answered. It took a few minutes before the questionnaire was complete "ok lastly can you breathe without pain?" he asked "no it hurts a lot and i still can't move without pain. My chest feels really tight and painful" i complained. "I'll be back later to ask some routine questions. Don't do anything stupid and foolish. And if i catch you up again I'll make sure you are temporarily immobile" he said viciously and slammed the door shut. I went back to doing absolutely nothing bored out of my mind. "If i don't die of this then I'll definitely die of boredom" i whined
Too much noise.
Konan walked the halls silently, being woken by so much noise, she entered Nagato's office.
"What's going on...?" She said, slightly groggy.
"It seems that Deena is hurt, Inu is throwing a fit, and that everyone is in a panic... you seem to be the only calm one." He smiled slightly... but he looked tired... as he continued to fill out paperwork.
Nagato yawned, and stretched slightly.
"When was the last time you slept, Nagato?" Konan said, trying not to let worry colour her tone.
"A couple of nights ago... it's no big deal..."
She looked into his eyes, and she knew he was spent.
"Nagato, you go to bed... I'll try to silence the commotion, and I'll get your assistant to finish your work... that's the reason she was hired right...?" She said, shaking her head slightly.
He smiled, "Thank you Konan... I can always count on you." And with that, he stumbled into his room.
Then Konan walked out into the common room, and politely asked everyone to keep quiet, or she would have their tongues cut out. The room started to silence, except for Hidan's swearing, that, we've learned to tune out.
"Arigatou." She said, disappearing and reappearing next to Nagato, she settled in the corner, and fell back asleep.
