I had just begun to speak with Itachi who I had not seen in a great while when Hidan and Saint hobbled in first; Hidan looking rather annoyed and exhausted supported most of saint’s weight since he was still injured. Kakuzu came in behind holding Deidara on his back since he was in no condition to be walking. He lifted his head weakly and kept his eyes half-open. “I’m back, un.” He muttered as Kakuzu laid him on the stretcher that I had brought out. “Pein…” He reached into his tattered cloak and pulled out two large scrolls. “Mission accomplished, un.” Pein took them and smiled amusingly. “Deidara, you always like to add certain flair to your work.” I took them as Kakuzu wheeled Deidara off to the operating room to repair his broken hip. Hidan followed after; looking extremely exhausted. “When he gets out of there I swear I’m gonna beat that blondie’s ass.” He groaned tiredly walking Saint off to the infirmary. “Anyway, Itachi..” I continued. “I needed some information recovered from Iwagakure; Deidara himself volunteered to go. Maybe he wanted to get back at them or something. Regardless, he refused to let Tobi in on any details and choose to go out on his own against my orders. I just received word of the immense damage to the Stone village; I’ve come to the conclusion that sometime after he finished is when he took a large wound to his left leg losing his clay and destroyed his clay bird as a final means to escape them.” I laid the scrolls on the table and left for the infirmary. I called again over my shoulder before leaving. “It’s good to have you back Itachi; I hope you’ll get used to the changes we have done around here.” With that; I disappeared into the corridor.
Came back.
