In Konan's chamber, sunlight peeked through the blinds, caressing every shadow it touched. Aggravated at the arrival of the sun, Konan groaned.
Head heavy, she rose out of bed and looked around the dimly lit room, she hadn't recalled falling asleep. Sleep was a gift Konan barely ever experienced, constantly awake, for sleep left her unprotected, her guard lowered due to a mere physical need, she hated it. So therefore, she rarely slept, if at all, for more than 2 hours.
But it seemed she had slept for hours... days even... she grudgingly lifted the blinds and sunlight bore into her eyes. Instantly getting a headache, Konan stood up and ran her right hip into her night stand.
"I'm a mess..." She said quietly to herself.
Raking a hand down her face, she continued to stumble around the room. "What's wrong with me...?" She braced her hand on her dresser, and she noticed that she was panting. Glancing at her hand, her arm was shaking... her heart beating erratically... "Something's not right..."
Next, she placed on hand on top of the other, to brace herself, and felt a shiver bolt its way from her fingers tips, through her arm, across her shoulders, down her spine, shooting through her legs and ending at her feet. Her knees buckled, and she almost collapsed.
Finally giving up, she fell to her knees, and onto her stomach, her right hand shooting out to brace her fall.
One arm extended, Konan lay helpless on the floor... she tried to build enough chakra to surround herself with her paper, but to no avail. Completely exhausted, sleep over took her eyes... and she relished it.
A dream immediately enveloped her, bringing back memories of her past, with Yahiko and Nagato, almost so real she could touch...
The corners of her lips twitched a bit in the resemblance of a smile, "Yahiko... save Nagato..."
