"Konan, I brought you some tea!" Puppet called from behind the door. She gently rasped at the door, making sure the tray on her hip didn't fall.
No response.
"Konan?" She checked the door, unlocked. "Weird, Konan always locks the door if she leaves."
Carefully, Puppet opened the door peeking in, she saw no one. With a shrug of her shoulder, she placed the tea down on a table in the center of the room.
Something in her peripheral vision moved and she withdrew a kunai, no one was sneaking up on her. Kunai held tightly in Puppet's hand, she moved towards the target.
The figure lay sprawled out on the ground, and it got up, resting all of it's weight on it's hand. A blue fountain of hair cascading their shoulders, she knew who it was, "Konan...?"
She jumped at the sound of her own name, glancing over her shoulder, a pair of heated eyes met her own. Sweat glistened on her face, as she tried to stand, Puppet knelt down next to her, "Don't try and move."
"I'm fine... just... get me my coat..." A small bead of blood fell from her mouth, and Puppet wiped it away.
"Something's wrong Konan, you're as white as a sheet, and as cold as ice..." Puppet didn't stand to retrieve Konan's Akatsuki coat, she gathered Konan in her arms, and her heartbeat hurt Puppet's chest, pounding so frantically...
Konan coughed, sending more blood from her mouth. The crimson splattered onto Puppet, but she didn't care.
"Pein... somebody... help...!" Puppet cried, Konan fainted in her arms.
