"Gaby!" I called out to her too late. She hit the floor with a deafening thud. Pein turned suddenly and he seemed uneasy to leave Konan. "Pein don't, I got it, un." I spoke my voice cracking as I pulled the IV's from my wrist. "Deidara, stop you'll only hurt yourself worst." Pein warned. Ignoring him, I shoved myself out of bed and jumped onto the floor. My left leg gave out immendiately and I fell to my knees. Winching in pain; I staggered over to her. I picked up unconscious Gaby in my arms but I was too weak to stand back up. I gasped; the pain in my side throbbing horribly. I spat out blood and collapsed against the bed holding Gaby. Whyy must I be so useless I thought and clenched my teeth; a stream of blood ran down my chin.
