I walked around the hideout with nothing to do. No one seemed to need any help at the moment, so I was bored as anything. Hell, I’d wouldn’t even mind babysitting Tobi… scratch that. I sat down on a chair and leaned back on it. “Deidara, are you sure there’s nothing for me to do right now?” I half whined, half sighed.

“Yep. Sorry, un.”

I stood up and stretched, “Figures. I’ll be on the roof if anyone needs me.” The roof was the quietest place in the hideout, the place you went to when you wanted to relax, a place you could go when you wanted to be alone. But today when I stepped out onto the roof, someone was there waiting for me.

“Hello Inu,” the boy smiled.

“Raion,” I growled, moving into a defensive stance. “What are you doing here?”

He chuckled, “Can’t I just want to see my friend?”

“Oh? I didn’t know you had a friend here.”

He chuckled again, and then lunged at me. I managed to dodge just in time, sending him flying straight into the wall. “Owch, that hurt,” he rubbed the back of his neck.

“Leave. Now,” I hissed.

Someone grabbed me from behind and I turned to see it was Raion. The clone in front of me disappeared. “Tsk, tsk,” he waged a finger at me. “Never let your guard down even the slightest bit.” He pushed me against the wall, holding me by the throat. “Y’know. The elder wasn’t very happy when you got away. He thought I was the one who helped you escape, I was even arrested.”

“Hah, I would have loved to see the old geezer’s face when he found out I was gone. Though I think your face might have been funnier when you were arrested,” I laughed with a mocking tone.

“You make me sick,” he whispered as he tightened his grip on my throat.

I lifted my hand into the air and crossed my fingers, “Best friends forever, right?” Something that almost looked like regret flashed on his face, but it was gone before I could see it properly. That was when he kissed me. I thought he’d gone mad, but then I realised he’d made me swallow some kind of pill. I started to feel woozy, “What the hell was that?” He lifted me up and jumped down from the roof. “Put me down! Where are you taking me?” I managed to hit him weakly.

His faced looked cold, “Home. Geezer’s orders.”
