I sighed it did me no good to sit around in my office. I was curious as to how the hideout was doing at the event of Alex's return. It had only been a mere 24 hours when she left and the base was just as mournful and quiet as when we experience the death of one of our members. I stood and turned from my chair and walked out onto my balcony. The sky was gray but this of course was not uncommon in Ame. I sat of my perch at the end of the ledge and focused.
"Gentoshin no Jutsu"
My illusionary body appeared at the base. I looked around; everything seemed to be back in order. "WAH!! IT'S A GHOST!!" Tobi shricked pointing and a shaking finger as he appeared in the room with Zetzu close after him. "Save me, Deidara-Senpai!" He lunged into the kitchen where there was the immediate sound of crashing dishes. "Tobi you idiot that's just Pein; now get the hell off me, un!" The artist yelled at the top of his lungs. Tobi poked his head out from around the corner, "Pein-Sama, Pein-Sama; we missed you too!!" He jumped to hug me only to fly directly through into the wall. I sighed; things have indeed gone back to normal.
"Oi, if it isn't rainbowass" Hidan called mockingly as he came downstairs with Deena. "Shut up Hidan." Kakuzu said to him as he came out of his office. "Oi, fuck you!" He snapped back. "Can you keep it down?" Itachi sighed irritably over a plate of dango. "Screw off weasel." He scoffed leaning against a wall. "Nice have things back to the way they were Pein, desu ne?" Kisame smirked as his trudged into the room. I honestly didn't want to ask why he was drenched head to toe in water. A loud huffing sigh came from upstairs.
"Honestly how can someone work with all this annoying racket." The red-headed puppeteer came down the stairs. "Sasori no Danna!" Deidara called from the kitchen as he ran out to join the rest of the group. "Hello, Deidara." He looked less than happy to see his partner; Deidara only grinned more. "I see you haven't given up on that useless form of art yet, un." Sasori gave Deidara a look that if he said one more thing he would kill him.
The other recruits gathered into the main room even Alex had come out to see what was going on. Just as they were setting down the outside barrier broke revealing Hita, Amber, and Pantera. Their eyes shot open in surprise as they saw the mass group together. "Uh, what's going on here?" Hita stammered; I held out a hand toward the table. "For now I'd like you to take a seat and I will explain everything in a second." They nodded and took their places after giving Alex hugs they seemed just as happy to see her as the rest of us. "Pein." I turned and saw Madara walking in Konan following behind. "Madara, I'm organizing a short meeting to explain the current situations and everything." He nodded. "Alright, just don't take too much time." He and Konan went and stood over by the wall. As far as I could tell everyone was here. "Now then, I have a few things I would like to speak with you about. As you notices we've let go of quite a few members; they were not bringing their best effort for Akatsuki so in the end I dismissed them. It should be pleasing to have a little extra space around here." I gestured to the recruit hallway. "Anyhow, we have to keep our activeness up there has never been any major problem but I would like to see more posting my original members since you are superiors around here." Hidan rolled his eyes; I would have thrown him into the wall fi I had my real body. "Also the place has become run down and shabby; I would like everyone to get started on chores immediately. I will update the list and also some recruits still need to pick out originals to help. I would like to get these completed effectively before recruits leave on missions. Are there any questions?" I looked around. "Alright, that is all I needed to say; I will return soon."
The members filed out and I went down the hall to Konan's chamber. "Konan, can I come in?" I asked waiting for a moment before she opened the door. "What is it, Nagato?" She questioned. "I only wanted to thank you for making me reconsider. It would have been a foolish mistake to let Alex go; I was trying to do what was best for the organization but I didn't consider people's feelings." I sighed shamefully. "You were just trying to do the best you could; no one should blame you for that. You shouldn't worry about it it will only make you sick. Alex has returned now and everything's back to normal." She said quietly. "I guess you are right...thank you Konan." I released the technique and was staring back into they skyline of Amegakure. Yes it was for the best I smiled as a gentle summer rain began to fall.
