In-Between

"Izzy, I need to ask your opinion of something," Hunter said as he sat by his friend's dungeon cell.

Izzy looked up at Hunter and backed away slightly. "What is it Hunter?"

"I want to know your opinion on this entire situation," he told her point-blank.

Izzy was one of the first few werewolves that had gotten captured and locked up. She stayed in a solitary cell due to the fact she was considered dangerous to the vampires and other werewolves. However, she was a lycan of her word and had just gone onto a frenzied state out of being locked up, developing a type of mental disorder.

Izzy's face sank and her eyes glared at Hunter. "How do you think I feel...?"

She raced to the bars without even trying and grabbed him by the throat. "I'm locked in this hellhole and unable to talk to ANYONE! The only reason you can come by is because you feed me and don't give a shit about dying!" Izzy growled at him.

"Well I don't care if I die... that's the honest truth," Hunter replied, shrugging what she said off.

Izzy growled deeper and tightened her grip on his throat to the point she could've snapped it if she wanted to. "Now you listen to me," she said in an ominous tone, "You do NOT say that in front of me! You get treated better than I do and you want to die!? I have more of the right to say that, but I don't. If you don't listen to me you don't bitch to me about how you want to die and just never come back to see me."

"Hmph," he pushed her hands off him and glared at her, "Fine, don't expect me back tomorrow then if you're going to be that way Izzy. I can't stop thinking that way and I probably won't until I'm out of this place. But something I really know for sure is that I hate vampires and always will."

And with that, he turned and walked away. Izzy watched him walk off and she growled again as she glared at the floor, "Shut the hell up Hunter. Dig your own grave and leave me the hell out of it."

"Hey, it's me, are you here?" Celena called as she looked around the castle.

Her chains rattled but she held a tray which kept her safe for the time being. If she was found in the castle without reason... it would more than likely result in consequence. Celena learned that beforehand with the scars she has now, but she was still determined to see her friend. "Alec? Alec? Are you here?" she continued to ask and looked around.

A younger boy smirked, showing his fangs, creeping up behind her. "Boo!"

Celena looked behind her and smiled, "There you are!"

"Heh... and you thought I wouldn't be?" he asked.

"I figured you would get in trouble like usual."

"Well..." he looked away from her slightly, "I'm probably still going to get in trouble, but whatever, it's all for a friend."

"You sure it's fine though that we can play?" Celena asked.

He smiled, "Hey, don't worry about it, nothing bad is going to happen."

Today had to be the most different out of all of the days though... For some weird and reason, they were both squealed on by an unknown messenger... It was unknown whether they were Vampire or not, but it was someone... "What the hell do you two think you are doing?!" a voice suddenly boomed.

Both turned around but were immediately grabbed before they could even look back into the same direction. It was unknown to the records of what actually happened... It's a possibility that Alec may have been killed when he was noticed but we can never know. Celena was gone from her family, separated and put into a different castle wing where she couldn't easily get out. The years seemed to pass by slowly. She had been there a lot of years, but the sense of time was lost long ago. And where she was, no birthdays... no light to ever be seen again... or so was thought...

Celena nearly had the same appearance as Izzy, her hair grew out longer, her eyes became dull, and the terrible condition of where she was didn't help her health any. Her breathing was heavy as her arms tightened around her legs. She knew not to cry anymore... the more crying she had done, the more abuse occurred to her. Her right side had a deep scar that seemed to form from a whip; the same thing was also on her left leg too but it was more noticible than the one close to her stomach.

She barely got anything to eat and her family didn't even know where she was. She thought they probably thought that she was dead and didn't seem to care much anymore. To Celena, her will to live had disappeared. She even had forgotten of her friend Alec from what seemed to be just a distant fantasy of craving a friend to play with.

"I guess... my life has come to an end..." And with that, her eyes closed.

Shadows gathered around her, looking at the pitiful sight. One older werewolf in particular approached the poor girl and looked down at her. As best as he could, he got the chains from around her wrists and ankles, then nudged her over to a small opening in the wall, pushing her out into the grass. After looking at her for a few minutes, he moved the rock he removed earlier back into place. "Good bye... my daughter... Escape and find a home where ever you may go."

And with that, the vampires came up from behind him and all went black...

As Celena woke up, she found herself outside the place she was in, but heard lots of shouting and running around talking about an escaped werewolf. The word made her cringe and immediately know what to do. She transformed into her lycan form and bolted away.
