World Changing (the BIG post)

*Vanessa*

I sat in my big red chair, in my room. It had been almost 2 months since the trail, and things where getting complicated. There were several new riders coming in, and I never knew how to deal with them before. The last one arrived 3 weeks ago, so I don't think anymore are coming.

I started to dose off, thinking about what to do, when someone said "My lady?"

I opened my eyes, and Elva was sitting in front of me. "I'm sorry, I've been staying up almost every night..." I yawned, "trying to figure out what to do."

"It's quite alright," she replied. "As you where saying, I should head the training?"

"Yes, I think that would be best," I said, "and who doesn't want to be trained by an Elf these days?"

"Alright, I will call all the riders and their dragons tomorrow, and we will start, though some know how to fight and use magic already," she said.

"The less training, the better," I said stretching, "if we have this many new riders, I'm not sure how much the Empire has. And there have been siting of dragons by the Edda River and by Eldor. I'm not sure if it's real, but I must take everything into consideration."

"I understand my lady, may I take my leave?" Elva asked.

"Yes, and send Kylina and Crystalia in before you leave," I said.

"Yes my lady," Elva bowed, "I will send a messanger to you when I'm going to begin." She left the room. After the door closed behind her, I sighed, and put my fingers to my temples. A few moments later a female elf, one with messy brown hair came through the door. A crystal colored dragon followed behind her.

"Sit, please," I ordered them.

She sat, "Yes my lady?" The dragon sat by her feet, it not being very big.

"I hear that you where an orphan?" I looked into her green eyes.

"Yes," she said, looking down.

"Can you give a message to the people who work at the jail here?" I asked politely. Why is she not looking at me? Her dragon was watching me though, unblinkingly.

"Sure..why not?" she looked up at me, and then on my desk. Her dragon growled slightly. I looked at it for a moment.

I handed her a piece an envelope, "Please give that to the head of the jail. It is the releasing of Azof and Oynx from from the prison. We might need them soon.." I trailed off.

"I see," she said, "is that all?"

"Yes, you may go," I said. She quickly got up and went through the door, her dragon right behind her, like a guard. Why was she so quick to leave? I sighed. Jenoviel should be somewhere far from here by now, but how far? What has she seen...

"My lady?" a little girl, no more than six, stood in front of me. She had her finger out, so I assume she poked me until I was awake.

"M..mmm?" I blinked, and looked at her more closely. "Who do I have the pleasure of meeting?" I rubbed my eyes.

"M-my name is Anya," the little girl said moving brown hair from her face.

"Good..." I said and looked around.

"Afternoon," Anya said.

"Good afternoon Anya, it's a pleasure to meet you, and why have you come today?" I asked, hiding my shock that it was afternoon.

"P-pleasure meeting you too, lady Vanessa," she curtsied, "Elva wanted to let you know that," she stood up a little straighter, "she is starting the training out in the largest courtyard, and to have no one go through that way. Also, a request to send whole meals down there, for the riders and their dragons."

"Is that all?" the girl nodded. "Thank you Anya, you may go." I smiled.

She smiled back, "Thank you my lady," and with that, she ran out of the room. I looked at the ground, and saw a lilac colored blanket. I yawned and stretched. I walked out of my room, and studied my guards.

"My lady," they all said and bowed. Then one of them came up to me and said, "My lady, the elf Zarine arrived last night."

"And?" I said quickly.

"It still hasn't hatched ma'am," he said a little sadly.

"Where is she?"

"You know how elves are, they don't stay put," the guard said, "she'll turn up here eventually."

"You're right," I said. I stood there, thinking. As I was thinking I saw the werecat Sunday, slink by, no doubt going to the dungeons to look for Azof again. One of the guards tried to kick Sunday, but missed and he ran faster and out of sight. I started to walk the opposite way that Sunday was going and turned a corner. I saw the couple Yora and Tsuyo walk by, in their elven glory. I sighed and headed off to the courtyard that was being used by Elva, my guards following me.

*Elva*

"Ok, I hope you're all here," I said loudly, standing on my dragon, Amestar. All the new Varden recruits that were dragon riders surrounded me.
Everyone became silent. "Thank you," I said, "now, lady Vanessa has ordered me to be your instructor." Some whispers flew throughout the crowd. "Now, how many of you know how to fight?" A few people raised hands. "How about how to use magic?" Some of those people put their hands down. Everyone else was watching around nervously.

"We have a lot of work to do," I said, "but if everyone keeps their minds to it, we'll have no problems." I tried to think how we'd train the dragons. I thought my dragon well enough in the 3 months I've had her..she can try training them.. "My dragon Amestar will be training your dragons." Amestar raised her head. I jumped off of Amestar and landed lightly on the ground in front of her. Amestar stretched out her wings, preparing to take flight. "Dragons, please follow Amestar, and she will teach you what you need to know to keep your riders alive."

All the riders looked at their dragon, some of them hugged their necks, while others scratched their scales. "Now," I said as some of the dragons where getting ready, "most of you will be able to sense your dragon, and their thoughts, while they are training. You need to pay attention to that, as well as what I'm teaching you. After training is done, and you guys go back to your quarters, exchange information, because you will be quizzed tomorrow."

Some of the riders looked scared. "Don't worry," I told them, "least you won't die if you fail." With that, Amestar left the ground, and soared into the air, all the other dragons leaving behind her. All the scales shimmered in the light of the afternoon.

"Now dragon riders we will start training, my name is Elva and I will be your teacher," I said. I walked around a tree that was in the courtyard and pullout several swords, and kicked out more. "Line up, and I will give you a sword best suited for you." The riders lined up obediently, some talking to one another. After I helped each individual rider get a sword for them, they spread out again. "I will now come amongst you all, and set you into pairs. Now, since we don't have a lot of time, we will skip some of the normal training exercises."

Some people shuffled around as I walked by, no doubting wanting to be partners with certain people. I find this good however, it might pose a challenge so some. I counted the dragon riders. Only 9. A elven couple walked by, I called them over. All the riders watched.

"Hello I'm Elva, I'm training the dragon riders," I said moving my hand in the elven gesture.

"I am Yora and this is Tsuyo," said the female, gesturing to her mate.

"Would either of you be interested in sparing with one of the dragon riders?" I asked.

"Sure," said Yora.

"I will watch by the trees Yora," Tsuyo informed her, walking away.

I lead Yora to the group of staring riders and looked around. I walked over to a tall human rider, with brown hair. He looked startled at being the first one picked. "What is your name?" I asked him.

"Faye Reed ma'am," he said, bowing slightly.

"Yora, please go with Faye here, but please don't start anything till I give command," I said. Yora nodded and stood by Faye.

The next rider I walked up to was another human rider, though she was female. Her blond hair was in a neat pony tail. She looked at me, and I saw there where red streaks in her hair. She bowed when I approached her. "And what might your name be?" I asked her, moving my hand in the elven fashion.

"My name is Ray," she said, watching my hand.

"Nice to meet you Ray," I said, looking around at near by riders. I noticed a tall female human, with big blue eyes. I beckoned her over. "What is your name?" I asked her.

"My name is Kia," she said cheerfully.

"Ray, I would like you to pair up with Kia," I said turning around to look at more riders.

"Yes Elva," Ray said, and Kia moved closer to Ray.

I looked around for the next rider to be paired. I noticed a rider, with grass stains on his pants. I walked over to him and moved my hand in the elvish way, "I am Elva, and you are?"

"Aiden," he said bowing slightly.

"Aiden, I would like you to be paired with this lovely elf over here," I pushed him gently over to a female elf, with green eyes.

"My name is Aiden," he said to the female rider.

"Kylina.." she said, looking down. I smiled slightly, a shy rider, this might be interesting. I left that pair to go to the next pair.

I saw a long haired male human, standing next to a small tree. His hair was black. "My name is Elva," I said, moving my hand in the elvish gesture again.

"The name is Vincent," he said, jumping slightly.

"Pleasure to meet you Vincent," I said. I saw a female human, covered in black. They should be perfect. I lead Vincent over to her.

She bowed slightly, "I'm Kairiena," she said, smiling sweetly.

"Vincent," he mumbled.

I walked away from the pair, counting how many riders I had left to pair. There was one rider left, I must have miscounted. I walked up to the male elf, and smiled.

He bowed, I bowed back and I moved my hand in the gesture, "It seems you are the only one left...."

"Akkar," he filled in for me.

"Well...I guess I can-" a yelling and panting elf entered the courtyard. His hair was askew, and he was pale.

"Azof, you really should get here on time more often," I sneered.

"S-sorry," he panted, "they only released me yesterday."

"No excuses," I snapped, "Akkar, it seems you have a partner."

I walked back to where I had started, where I made the announcements. Everyone became silent. "Now, before I gave you your swords, I put on a spell." Some people took out their swords to stare at them. "It's just so you all don't cut each other up, unless some of you want to become healers. Today, you all will just simply spare, until I say time is up."

I sat down where I was, to watch them all practice. After a minute or two, one of the riders broke their sword. It must have been rusty. They walked up to me, and I sent the pair of them to see Garzal, the blacksmith, and he could repair it. I watched them go, wondering how rusty that sword must have been.

*Rex*

"Rex, I am putting you in soul charge of the Empire, until I am well," Fang said.

"Yes my emperor," I said bowing. My black hair fell into my face.

"When I am well again, I will take back over, you hear? I want everything run as how I'd want it, and make sure Namid is trained properly," he ordered.

"Yes my emperor," I said again.

"You may go," he said with a wave of his hand. I silently walked out of the room, and shut the big door behind me. I saw that werecat, Saphire slip into the emperor's room before I shut it. That cat had been here for a few weeks, and must have been a big help to the emperor, foe he allowed it to stay. I stayed there for a little while, and after a few minutes, the werecat came out of the door, and looked at me. I looked at it back. Then it ran off, going in the same direction I was about to take.

I walked up many flights of stairs. I walked through corridors and hallways. Finally I ended up in a giant tower. I walked to the very top, and saw a short woman, with waist long black hair. She didn't notice me come in. I saw a patch of dark brown fur in a dark dark corner, but I ignored the werecat.

I suddenly attacked her mind, trying to see if she had been paying attention. I met a wall that blocked her mind, but it faltered after a minute or two, and she staggered slightly. The pain I was giving her through her head must have been to little, oh well.

"R-rex," she stammered.

"Yes Namid?"

"Nice try..I was ready this time," she smiled slightly, and her dragon appeared next to a window, it's black scales glistening in the light.

"Ahh..where you?" I asked.

"Yeah!" she exclaimed. Her dragon growled.

"That's quite enough from the both of you, Namid, Hesiod," I snapped.

Hesiod growled for a few more seconds, then stopped, and Namid turned around, touching a telescope with her hands and she placed them behind her.

"The emperor has ordered me to make sure your training is of the highest quality," I informed her with a sneer.

"Lets do it then," she said bravely.

"Lets," I sneered. We walked down the stairs, me attacking her mind the whole way.

*Jenoviel*

It had been a while since I left the crowded and loud place the humans call the Varden. I was on orders to try to see if I could find anyone out there, wandering around, lost.

I pricked my ears. I heard a soft padding. I sat there, waiting. I saw a flash of golden eyes, and I stood up. Keiko?

Who's there? she asked.

Jenoviel of the Varden. I answered.

Ah. Off on an errand? she asked.

Yes. I want you to consider joining the Varden. They are in need of all the help they can get.
I informed the werecat.

We shall see..... it said.

I scampered off, into the night. After a long time of it just being me and my thoughts saw a tree. A big tree...or was it a tree? I could sense something moving behind me, maybe the werecat followed me, but I was focused on what was in front of me. It wasn't a tree though, for it moved.

I walked closer and saw a figure by it. It petted the thing. It stretched it's wings, and yawned. So....a dragon rider? Out in the middle of no where?

I walked up to the figure, and meowed. The rider jumped at my meowing, and he looked down at me.

"What a cat you are," he said. He started to pet me, I purred.

Why thank you. I said kindly.

He looked around, and said outloud, "Mito, was that you?" The dragon shook it's head. He looked back down at me, then he noticed my eyes changing from blue to red. Then he understood. "My name is Taize Gala, I am an exiled prince."

I am Jenoviel, messenger for the Varden. I said

___________________________________________________________________________
That. Was. Hard.

I thought it would be easier if I bolded all the names of the characters. Um.........
EVERYONE is on their side. Everyone.
I left things off with Vanessa going to the courtyard, Elva watching all the pairs of riders sparing, the dragons doing aerial training (though I didn't say that), Rex training Namid, with Saphire close by, and Jenoviel trying to find the neutral characters.

If anyone wants to post as the dragons, be my guest. If anyone doesn't like who they're paired with for sparing, we can change it, but there is a reason I paired you up with who you are with. If you guys want to change partners, pm people :3

This was really hard, and I'm sorry if I missed someones character. I mentioned them all, and tried to use most of them.

Good luck with posting everyone :)
