After leaving Vanessa I smiled at Crystalia as we made our way in the direction of the jail. What is it? I heard the curious voice in my head as the small dragon looked up at me.
“This is a big job,” I told her, a look of pride on my face. “I’m happy that we were entrusted with something like this,” I tried my best to explain what I was thinking.
Oh, I see. Well then I’m happy too. She smiled as best as she could, baring her small fangs. I let out a laugh at the face she was pulling and she huffed.
When we reached the jail though my smile dropped. The guards were big, scary looking and I shifted nervously on my feet as we stood in front of the first. “State your buisness,” the brawly man commanded.
I gulped and just stared at him nervously. Go on, Crystalia nudged me forward lightly. It’s ok.
“Thank you,” I smiled at her and the guard quickly looked to her before turning his attention back to me. “I-I have a message for the head of the jail,” I told him, holding out the envelope that Vanessa had given me.
The guard took it, looking it over quickly before nodding. “I’ll make sure they get it,” he assured me. Though I wondered if I should have been taking it to them myself. He seemed like he’d do as he promised though, so I nodded.
“Thank you,” I smiled. “Let’s go,” I turned and waited for the little dragon to follow me.
Is that all? She asked me and I nodded. What now then? she blinked up at me.
I thought for a moment. “Would you like to go and train?” I asked. We had been working on flying for a while now. Even though she was a little bigger than most dragons when they learned to fly, she still hadn’t quite gotten the hang of it.
No, she flat out refused. She didn’t like that she couldn’t fly, and hated me seeing what she thought was a weakness. Though I had caught her training by herself a few times.

A short while later I was standing alone awkwardly waiting for training to begin. Crystalia had been reluctant to leave me, and I hadn't wanted to let her go.
I pretty much just stood there shifting uncomfortably until a boy was pushed in front of me. Then I just froze. "My name is Aiden," he told me and I quickly looked him over, At least he didn't seem threatening.
"Kylina..." I answered, glancing down at my feet. I looked at the sword in my hand, before glancing at his. A wave of relief flooding through me when I heard they had been enchanted. "Please take care of me," I half bowed to the boy, lifting up my sword.
