Yesterday was my last Art Class for Semester 1 and something very peculiar happened. So, my art teacher was talking about art, and then something he said triggered something in my head and I suddenly thought of Deidara and his explosions, which he calls art. The details are a little fuzzy, since it happened yesterday, but that's what generally happened. The funniest part about it is that I realized that I have these sudden connections with anime to real life.
Another example was today at Blogging, there was this quotation that read: “We must learn to live together as brothers or we will perish together as fools.” and it immediately made me think of the relationship between Kakashi and Gai, how they are best friends, yet they are eternal rivals. Now that is kind weird, yet amazing, lol.
Plus, I'm very calm today, as you can probably tell from the way this post is written. I'm not spazzing out today, I'll leave that to Hanako(who spazzed out a lot of times today, mostly due to Yoruhana's haircut, which looks much like Mello's from Deathnote)
My friend Yoruhana's Dad told her about an Anime Convention in Guelph and she invited me, Hanako and Kaminari along! I asked my mom and she said that I could go! Even though she hates me watching Anime and stuff...
So anyway, I'm so excited because it's going to be my first time at an Anime Convention! Well, I think that would have been obvious, since I basically started watching Anime in November. But still! Yoruhana's going to cosplay as Mello, from Deathnote(she cut her hair into Mello's style today), and I'm still not so sure about Hanako or Kaminari. Hanako might be Chappy in Rukia's Gigai though...
As for me! I'm still thinking, lol. I was thinking about being Rukia(since I basically have her hair), but I have glasses and I don't want to go to the Anime Convention without wearing them. I was thinking about Nanao though...
Here's a little bit of information of the Convention(and it literally is a little bit!)
Name: Con-G (stands for Convention Guelph)
Date: February 25th and 26th (Saturday and Sunday)
And umm... that's basically it, heh heh.
Oh yeah, and Kyle Hebert's gonna be there too!
So, all this info is just a little update on what's happening on my side!
I'm so happy today! Today is so awesome! You know why? My new friend Neko Moonshine dedicated a card to me!!! It's so awesome! Thanks so much Neko!(You can probably tell how happy I am) Anyway, yeah, I wanted to tell everyone about this. OMG, I'M SO HAPPY!
So anyway, you can check out the card here: http://www.theotaku.com/cards/view/141133
Yay! I'm so happy! Today is the day I can finally enter the chatroom!!! I've wanted to chat in there ever since I spotted that button and I'm so happy that I can chat there now! Although, since it's kinda unfamiliar, it's a bit confusing right now. Plus, I have no idea what to say...
Today the Anime Club my awesome friend Yoruhana organized had its first meeting! Yoruhana was even wearing a Naruto forehead protector(that she made) and her L t-shirt(that she also made). Hanako freaked out over the headband, lol.
Anyway, during the meeting, we didn't really do much, just kind of brainstormed ideas on what to do at the club(even though half the people weren't even listening) and Yoruhana and Kaminari, who helped Yoruhana organize the club(and also my friend) sort of introduced the club to everybody. As the title says, the first meeting is basically a success, to me at least. Hanako said she didn't have that much fun, but I found it especially interesting(and fun) to meet people that watched anime I had.
During the meeting, Hanako was bugging Ken, one of my classmates about watching Bleach. He hasn't watched any anime and for a year Yoruhana had tried to get him to watch Bleach. Now, this year, Hanako also bugged him about watching Bleach and guess what? HE WATCHED ONE EPISODE. Yeah, one episode of Bleach and stopped. So now, Hanako(and I) are trying to get him to continue.
Anyway, enough about Ken and more about the meeting today. It was sort of disorganized, because we haven't decided what to do yet, but I'm sure once we get going, the club will get more organized. After the introduction to the Club, some people started drawing and Yoruhana opened her DeviantArt account. Though, she didn't really do anything on it. So people talked and drew and it was at the end that Yoruhana decided to make a world on The Otaku for the Anime Club. She should have finished it up a bit by now, here's a link if you want to check it out - http://www.theotaku.com/worlds/centennial
So anyway, that's basically how the first meeting went! Great job on your part Yoruhana! Kaminari too!
