Have fun doin' whatever you do. Meanwhile, I've been hornswaggled into DMing a map for Hero Quest. *rolls eyes*

Wow.

Brief e-mail exchange between members of a group I meet with on a more-or-less weekly basis. (For edification: the first two are peers of mine, and the last is a former professor of mine, and an aged and esteemed friend—and why, you shall see.)

From: N. West
To: Kenton R Craven, et al
Subject: Silmarilian

Reminder!

We will be meeting at 6-6:30 at Crawdaddies to begin
reading Tolkien's the Silmarilian. Feel free to join!
But for the squeamish, there will be beer.

To clarify...( for dumbasses like myself) The meeting is not
from 6:00- 6:30. That is just a rough estimate of the time
of arrival. It appeared, when I first read it, that this
would be a thirty minute reading. Please pardon the
correction, N—...

More clarification. It's "Silmarillion," not "Silmarilian," and R. Kenton Craven, not Kenton R. Craven. But I believe "dumbass" is spelled correctly . . . .

Owned. Owned by a man forty years your senior.

Science. It works.....

....when you actually understand it.

WHEN I was a kid we never had drought after drought.

Then we started with daylight saving. We started with a little bit, but now we have six months of the year daylight saving.

It has just become too much for the environment to cope with.

It is so logical, for six months of the year we have an extra hour each day of that hot afternoon sun.

I read somewhere that scientific studies had shown there is a lot less moisture in the atmosphere which means we get less rain.

I believe this one our extra sun is slowly evaporating all the moisture out of everything.

Why can’t the government get the CSIRO to do studies on this, or better still, get rid of daylight savings.

They have to do something before it is too late.

I hurt inside.

Seriously. Daylight Savings? Obviously a wizard did it.
