I have as of now finished all the anime series I was moderately well-into. I'd like to go ahead and start in on another series, but I'm not entirely certain which one to pick. I have previewed each beginning episode as I downloaded each series, whether old or new to me, so I can't really just grab one I haven't actually started. However, I'd sort of prefer to get into one I hadn't seen before.
Well. If I think about it, my initial statement isn't entirely true. I was about seven episodes into Le Chevalier d'Eon and six into Ergo Proxy when my computer went borky this January, and haven't ever picked them back up yet, partly because starting back in on them midway might be weird, and I don't think I have the patience to start at the beginning again until I've seen the end. Also I'm about six episodes into the first season of Gunslinger Girl, if only the psychological aspect tantalises the back of my mind so.
However, those aside, these are the ones I'm currently considering.
- Blue Gender
- G Gundam
- Gankutsuo
- Geneshaft
- Glass Fleet
- Gundam Wing
- Higurashi (I know, right?)
- Peace Maker Kurogane
- Samurai 7
- Scrapped Princess
- Serial Experiments Lain
- Shadow Skill (I have no idea where this one is going)
- Tenjou Tenge (this one has me slightly worried)
- The Twelve Kingdoms
- The Vision of Escaflowne
- Utawarerumono (scads, Japan, do we need that many syllables?)
I also have a few movies/OVAs that might bear consideration.
- 5 Centimeters Per Second
- Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade
- Samurai X
Just based on those titles, what do you think? To be clear, I'm not looking so much for "you should definitely watch this one" or "don't watch that one" so much as I am "this one really interests me" or "I thought that one was sort of weird < <;;". Does that make any sense? Just opinions on the series themselves.
