I am severely astraphobic. Astraphobia is a fear of thunder and lightning, or just storms in general. It's at a very severe point in my case--in past cases, I have vomited, lost consciousness, and unintentionally mutilated myself in attempts to calm myself down. It's a severe problem. Things that make it worse: Power outages, my mother opening the door during a storm, tornado sirens, emergency weather alerts. You know. That noise.
Of course, it just so happens to be storming at the moment.
