Dear Sonya Sones,
This book, just like the others that you have wrote was great. I love the way that you write them. It is easy to read and understand. They are pretty short and they all tell a message. Many people can relate to them, in one way or another. Then at the end of this book how you had pictures at the bottom of the page. I thought that was cool, it reminded me of Romeo and Juliet for some reason. I think you are a great author and you should keep writing books like that.

At the begining you find out that Brittany is the mother of Max. But she doesn't want to keep Max, so Sam adopts him. He said in the book that he doesn't want to go his entire life wondering what he looks like and acts like, ect. Then he continues to go to school and take care of Max at the same time. Then one of his teachers asks him if he is going to take the SATs because he is so smart. So he goes to this study thing after school with some people for the SATs. And Clair is in his group, and he really likes that! Well he doesn't really want to and can't afford it but he does anyway. He just gets the $24 dollars from his aunt. So he takes the SATs and he does really good on it.

So then Sam and Clair start to really liike eachother A LOT. So now Mondays and Wednesdays are now of corse Sams favorite days. I still can not believe that Sams mom wanted to die at home. I mean I guess if she already knows that she is going to die then why not die in a place where she is confortable and makes her happy. But I still think it is kind of weird. I thought that it was nice of Clair, Sam, Max and Emily to all go to the park together. I can just imagion what Max looks and sounds like when he was trying to talk to the ducks.

I was glad that after Sam changed Maxs name. Julian Patrick Ames..... that is kind of a weird name. No affense to anybody who thinks that name is cool or whatever. I thnk that Max fits him much better. I would feel sorry for him in kindergarden trying to spell that... WOW. Or when he gets like in the fifth grade or something people would probably make fun of him. Max is just better.

When the kids at the daycare got to dress up, it reminded me of when we were little and and we always dressed up on Halloween. Some may still continue that tradition but I do not participate in that, and I still get some candy! :) Max of corse was a duck. THen Clair, Emily, Sam and Max went over to visit with Andy and some other friends/family. And if you actually read the book you would know that Andy is Sams friend from way back when. I though it was going to be a calm little get together, but oh boy was I wrong. Poor Max. :( A couple of glasses fell in the kitchen and Max was in that area when that happened, so he got cut pretty bad.

Finished the book. I cannot believe that Sam put Max up for adoption. :( That was so sad. I thought he was a good dad for him only being 17 years old, going to school and trying to figure out what he wants to do with his life. So what if Max got hurt, I mean it was a big deal, it was bad and whatnot but accidents happen that is why they have doctors to take care of people when they get hurt. The last chapter kind of confused me at first because it is like 18 years or so into the future. Then once again son and father reunite again like old times. It was a really good book.
