Multiple explosions went off as the small speaker in Cat's hand started playing the chorus to "I Hate Everything About You" by Three Day's Grace. They began closing in on our position.
"Chessy-chan..." Cat asked with a panicked look on her face, "where exactly do the explosives end?" I just smiled.
"ARE YOU TRYING TO FREAKIN' KILL US?" Zhen-chan yelled. "I DON'T CARE....I'LL KICK YOUR FREAKIN' @$$ BEFORE I DIE!!!!" She rushed me.
Quickly, I side-stepped her advance. Catching her by the arm, I pulled her into me, bringing my knee quickly up into her stomach. Cat-chan looked at me in alarm as Zhen's eyes rolled up into the back of her head.
"Don't worry. I've got smelling salts. I just couldn't let her give away our position." I looked around. We were only feet from the Tower, in direct sight of the one and only entrance to the building. And with the way that I had laid my explosives...Jiraiya would have to come right into our sights. Sure enough, looking harried, with the hem of his tunic scorched, the Toad Sage came into our peripheral vision. I was sure that we had hidden well enough that we did not have to worry about being seen. I opened a compartment on my vest, which was scarcely visible for all of the pockets it held. I waved a small, open vial in front of Zhen's nose. She woke quickly.
Putting my hand over her mouth so that she couldn't give us away, I whispered to her. "He's here," I said. "Quiet. We'll have to go with Plan Battleship--seek and destroy."
Zhen grinned at that.
Cat-chan leaned over and murmured unhappily, "I'm going to have to be 'bait' again, aren't I?"
Zhen and I snickered.
