Jiraiya-sensei and my team checked out of the dayspa the next morning. On the way back to the Village Hidden in the Leaves, I was forced to endure my teammates' and, what's worse, my sensei's ribbings about my crush on Kakashi Hatake.
"You see, Chessy, when a shinobi and a kunoichi love each other very much..." Jiraiya kept trying to lead me into a realm of embarrassment with this line for an hour and a half, until I threatened to remove something very valuable from his persona with a very dull kunai. Then, he shut up, to my relief and my teammates. Not that they were much better.
"So, Chessy," They would say, "are you going to spar with him or not?"
My constant answer was, "None of your damn business. And if you like being able to talk at all, you will shut the hell up or I will MAKE you shut the hell up."
Eventually, they did shut up. Thank God.
However, once we got back to the village, it seemed that the quiet would not last...
